Well we've decided recently to turn LV into a 'mafia wars' city where gangs will fight it out to rule the city. A combination of Team-DM, basemode and turf system. I'm going to half make a story to describe the changes which will be taking place in LV over the next few weeks as it turns from ghost town into war zone.
18 years a go...
A mild nuclear exploision took place in Area 69. Residents of Las Venturas were strongly encouraged to evacuate as the radiation was strong enough to cause cancer if exposed to for long enough. Over 90% of the residents headed south to Los Santos. Los Santos was not such a bad place back then but with over crowding and lack of aid for the new people, the crime rate in Los Santos rose steadily.
Day One - Morning Update
24 hours a go, government officials checked the radiation levels around Las Venturas and have announced that the radiation level is now at a very safe level. The gang Ger-C have already headed up to LV in the hope that they can control the city taking part of South West LV.
But how many other gangs will have the same idea? Today the fight for west LV begins. It has been predicted that gangsters from all over the country will try and get a portion of the ghost city and a fierce never ending battle for control of LV will begin. Previous residents of LV have been strongly warned not to attempt to return to LV as minor gun battles have already taken place in LV between gangs fighting for control of west LV. All out war will start in a few weeks.
Day One - Midday Update
Now already two thirds of LV are being contested by gangs. It has been reported that almost all of this is held by a gang going by the name CG taking turfs from Ger-C and occupying new turfs. In less than 24 hours the whole of LV will be up for grabs by gangs, the war is far from starting but is predicted to flare up in the coming week. Keep tuned in for further updates.
Day One - Evening Update
No sign of any more gangs so far but more parts of LV are becoming occupied with around 75% of LV now occupied by gangs or waiting to be occupied. Tommorow the whole of LV will be occupied and gangs will slowly begin setting up bases in each of their territories.
Day Two - Midday Update
Gangs have now taken up all of Las Venturas and more people coming to the city have been spotted. It has been predicted that the crime rate in Los Santos will go down soon and territories occupied by gangs will disappear as more and more gangs are going to Las Venturas.
Day Five - Skipped a days
Gang will now respawn at their closest turf which means no deathmatching at LV hospital or running for miles to get back to a turf. Ending this story, will use changelog from now on.
