My suggestion is pretty simple, the actual usage of the command /res is: /res <call id>, and when you use /res only a message appears on your screen: Usage: /res <call id>
What I'm suggesting is that when you use /res without a call ID you will automatically respond to the last dispatch call.
Example:
[10:50:51] Dispatch: Robbery in progress, 2 offenders. (!East LS Cluckin Bell) '/res 58' 486m
[10:50:58] Dispatch: Armed Robbery in progress, 6 offenders. (!Marina Offices) '/res 59' 900m
[10:51:03] The player uses /res
-He will respond to the last one, which means Marina Offices-
[10:51:04] Call responders: PlayerName,
I believe it could be useful to save some time when using this command, sometimes it's annoying to put a number when you could just use /res. Also it will make the command /res bind-able.
-
It takes one second to put the number , you can't be so lazy to the point that you don't want to look at a number and type it in a command , I almost always use /res command when working as a cop and I think it's fine as it is.
Not needed.
-
This would make /res more used for sure, especially because people could bind it. Not that many people are using /res right now.

I'm an ex law player and i'm using this thing I don't think this will be useful what if there is alot of criminals robbing in the stores it will show up ' /res ' only without any ID I think it will messed up, its easy to type '/res id ' . :cros:
You didn't understand my suggestion, the dispatch call will appear just as how it is right now, this means:
Dispatch: Robbery in progress, X offenders. (!Y Location) '/res Z' - where Z would be the call ID. Now, if you use /res instantly when the dispatch call comes, it'll automatically asign you to the last call.
It takes one second to put the number , you can't be so lazy to the point that you don't want to look at a number and type it in a command , I almost always use /res command when working as a cop and I think it's fine as it is.

Your logic about being lazy applies to every single command that can be binded. Such as /hide, /lock, /gc, etc... Yes, maybe it takes 1-2 second to look at the call ID and put it in the command, but why don't make it better?
This would make /res more used for sure, especially because people could bind it. Not that many people are using /res right now.

Exactly, you got it.

I'll be voting positive for exactly this reason. I'd totally bind this. Another nice addition might be random /res additions. For example when 3 bikers are wanted at their base a /res could be created for this.
-
That'd be a good addition. Especially about the part where you could bind /res , Hence you'd see the Armed Robbery dispatch then as you've already binded /res , You'd do it right away, Avoiding muliple dispatch calls that occur one after the another and this would make /res pretty useful and easy.
Positive.

It's very good idea using /res to respond last dispatch call.
First of all it will be very useful to do it fast also u can bind it with any key to make it fast EXAMPLE:bind ; /res
So it will be fast better than typing /res Num, I completely support this Idea

This is a pretty simple but unique idea, it's a pain in the ass to have more than 10 cops in your hummer and you have to stop or crash every time I have to type a command really fast. Having the ability to bind it allows us to respond to dispatch calls a bit faster and smoother.
P.s. This wouldn't take a lot of time out of the developers, hence I am totally up for it.

I don't think Gunnar's post counts since he misunderstood the suggestion, please delete his post as it may misinform others. @Unity

Of course I'd like to support that kind of suggestions because it's very simple and the '/res' command will be more useful and to transport by your vehicle as fast as you can if you don't know where the location is... Instead of using GPS you can use that command simply and of course people would bind that command to make it easier for them.

This is a great idea to me, this command will be more useable while patrolling around San Andreas by making a bind for this command so you don't have to type the number of the dispatch call anymore. I don't really see many people are using this feature, it makes us more lazy but although this is an improvement suggestion.

I personally don't care about the distance of the dispatch or the suspects in the reported area. I just want to respond that call and do my job as a police officer. While patrolling around in LS, when I get this message, I mostly collide or make an accident while typing the /res <CALL ID>. Would be really good to respond the latest dispatch without writing its ID. I'm not a developer but I know about programming a bit, so I don't think it would be hard for them to script it. This is like a toy for them. Positive.
-
As someone regularly patrolling , this would prove to be a huge plus because whenever I see a dispatch messege , I would like to simple press a bind and respond to it , instead I have to type the command which while not a big issue becomes quite big if you are driving fast in LS especially when you collide with other cops. There is no harm in having this command as it will simply speed up the response time of cops.

Well, I really like the idea, this could actually make things a bit more 'easier' and comfortable for us. :police:
I don't know how this wasn't suggested before, therefore, I'm voting positive to your suggestion. :thumb: :tick:

I agree with this why? because it will be useful not to write /res id people can bind this /res so it will be easier and players will use it the most.
so I completely agree with this suggestion. Positive
-
I don't agree with this at all to be honest. The only thing people want nowdays is having everything binded but it only takes less than 2 second to write /res and the ID. I know it could be good to people who want's to answer while driving.
EDIT:
I'm confused, you mean to replace the atual system or just add that option on it?
Nvm, underestood it wrong. I thought you wanted to remove the ID option on it. As I said above, to people who's driving and want to answer fast to a call it could be good to have it. You just need to edit the current script, won't make any diference at all.

I think this suggestion is helpful right now, especially that we got much players, So most of calls are very important and kind of dangerous ( You can find +6 Criminals are stealing one market), And some COPs are really lazy or they can't type fast, so they didn't do /res <num> command, Makin' /res command bindable will help them to perform their duty well. Positive :tick:

I believe this would make /res command a lot better, as we would be able to bind it like many players said. The current way it works is tedious, so this new feature would be nice
I'm with the majority of votes, totally positive.

I'm voting POSITIVE as my personal experience, sometimes too many chat in my chat box, I need to read back again to look for the number of where I will respond. So basically adding this /res command to respond in recent call would be really helpful! :D
-
I vote Positive for this suggestion since I think it would be really helpful and time saving . +I like the idea that we will be able to bind such command so that we get smoother experience . :tick:

Good idea and so simple to implement, added.
