Ok, so I got a new mouse, it's a Logitech Marathon M705. The scrolling works again. But for some reason, when I go to Esc > Settings > Binds and try to change some binds, like next weapon and previous weapon, then go back ingame and try to use my side buttons, nothing happens like MTA doesn't recognize it. I find that when I disconnect from a server and go back to Settings > Binds > try changing the binds with my side buttons, it recognizes them. But as soon as I go back ingame, the side buttons don't do anything and when I go back to Settings > Binds and Esc the binds and try the buttons again, it doesn't recognize them. I'm using MTA 1.5.8 and Windows 10 build 19042.685. This problem happening not just in CIT, but all across MTA.

Have you tried to bind the command in chat > T /bind "mouse4" vipjetpack - example or check driver or if the mouse is in good condition.

I already tried doing that. I tried doing /bind mouse4 next_weapon or /bind mouse5 next_weapon and it doesn't work. It's almost as if MTA doesn't recognize my side buttons. But I'm really curious as to how other players are able to get their side buttons on their mouse working in MTA because for whatever reason, my Logitech mouse's side buttons won't work in MTA. They do work in other applications however. One other thing I wanna note is that my side buttons don't even work in single player. So maybe those incidents are related somehow.

Maybe to get that resolved you can try maybe re-installing MTA if that doesn't work idk how can you make it work

can you try other mouse with those buttons?

Either it could be the software problem, maybe the two buttons are not programmed in the logitech software it self, or the drivers must be reinstall, cuz MTA SA supports them as I got a Bloody j95 with 2 sides buttos and it works fine, make sure to check what I said and i'll wait for your reply <3

It doesn't work. Idk why but for some reason the side buttons don't work in MTA. You can lock this.

They do, at least for me. Maybe your mouse has a hardware issue and/or isn't compatible.

I found the solution. What I had to do was reset my binds to default, reconnect to the server, change the binds, and then they started working. Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I wanna connect to the server or else my side buttons won't work. It's a little annoying, but oh well. Now you may lock it.
