I like the idea but you know that doing road construction tasks gives more money since it takes more time than house task which is quite fair. Let's say your suggestion got implemented, I'm sure by then house construction tasks will be most likely neglected in my opinion.

Lot of people prefer houses cause you can do it fast. I dont think necessarily houses will be ignored if this is added, some like fast paced house build.if that so, i'm supporting this idea :tick:

Agreed, road construction tasks are interactive and fun to do but take quite long compared to building a house.
I tried to explain this to the job developer long time ago, it turns out road construction is for earning money, and house construction is for XP.

Road construction missions take longer than house building missions, which is why they pay more money as a reward. However, it is still in the process of becoming semi-active, and it appears nice to me, thats why I am L10 at it. I agree that providing you 2 xp will have no effect on the house building mission or whatever its name is.

Suggestion is simple. Since Road Construction takes way longer than Houses, should count as 2 Tasks.
I timed myself doing both, I am L7, so I know how to do it well.
House: I can build house between 2:40-2:45 (min:sec)
Road Construction: One road is usually just over 5 min (last timed I did was 5:15)

I became L10 City Engineer just by doing house tasks, because road construction takes too long and isn't rewarding well for it's time.

So you are correct that road construction appears to be underpaying for the time that it takes, relative to house construction, however I don't think this is what denos was going for in this thread.
Edit: please note, I didn't control for pms in these calculations, your mileage may vary. Also note that this doesnt account for travel times which are a factor in road construction but not in house contruction.
