a new /boost for the brakes
« on: 05 04, 2015, 02:12:00 pm »
My idea is to add a boost which helps to the breaks force, in order to make the car stop faster. The command doesn't have to be the one I'm saying but it could be something like /boost brakes and it would also increase the breaks force to a max of 30%.

It's needed a lot nowadays becaue when you are using a car that got applied both /boost speed and /boost acceleration, you will notice that to stop when you're going fast it takes around 5 seconds, even more. It's hard to control this vehicles if they're going like a lighting and if you have to break fast, let's say, to change your path in the road, you will pass by your point due to this slow-weak brakes.

I have been experimenting with "brakeDeceleration" see: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/SetVehicleHandling but was unable to make it brake any faster. Seems that increasing "tractionMultiplier" can lower braking distance so will add a boost that increasing "tractionMultiplier"
