My suggestion is very simple: to remove or at least let us disable these checkpoints that are placed along the route in the bus driver job.
I'm talking about these:

It looks more like a race and they are annoying. So, It would be great if we had the option to disable them in settings or it getting replaced by the 'usual green line on the minimap'

These checkpoints were added so it will make the job easier. By removing these checkpoints it will be a disadvantage to the new players. But as you said we can have an option in settings where we can disable it. But, I personally don't think it's worth the hassle. So, I am voting Neutral

I don't think checkpoints are meant for racing purpose only.
I have nothing against your suggestion but it doesn't worth an addition.

Yes, and if there're no farther additional reasons to make this suggestion, it'll be unnecessary and will get negative.

It was my first job in this server and reached L10 without these CPs and without any difficulties. Personally for me it kills the RP, that's why I requested an option rather than removing the CPs completely.

These checkpoints are small and for sure when you lose at least one when you're trying to go faster, I vote positive for that, because we end up wasting more time than gaining.

He suggested adding an OPTION; not removing the checkpoints entirely. So, I don't know why you said that it's not necessary. It'll be an option, so I guess it won't be unwholesome for you.

The checkpoints don't bother me but I'll admit if I had the option, I'd remove them, so a setting would be nice.
I'll say it's not a super essential, but yeah, we like to be able to choose what we see, that's the good thing about CIT.
An example of this is rocks and grass, some like them and some don't so they disable them in settings. :tick:

When I started, it wasn't complicated at all. Today there is still GPS, it is not necessary to use the checkpoint, totally useless.

GPS is annoying , it forces you to follow a certain route, and its easy to miss if Bus are at high speeds. It will be good if Individual player is given choice to Enable or disable it. I am Positive :tick:

Indeed, these checkpoints should be added as an option as not everyone appreciates it. I'd be cooler if we had the option to disable it. So if people are finding difficulties, they can enable it back. Positive

There's nothing wrong with your suggestion and if the server was in a better state it'd be something to consider..
but when we're faced with rapid inflation, a dying c n r experience, a housing crisis and a reduction in playercount this "issue" seems very unimportant. Frankly there's far more important things that really need to change before a single second of an administrators time is spent implementing this.

If making them disappear while approaching is agreeable to you, I'm willing to do that.

If that's the only choice then I agree. But I don't think it will change much of the situation. Let's see if other players have a say.

Understandable Danzy, that's also better than nothing 0:) However since you're the guy who spent time on this, it should be up to you.

I believe what he means is that if you miss a checkpoint you can't claim the next stop till you claim all the checks.

Yeah, just widening the radius of the green checkpoints (midway) a little would be awesome, we already have to slow down at the stations anyways.

This would be a better option for us instead of removing all the markers.

Removing checkpoints completely is pretty much infeasible due to the way the job works with routes.
I'm going to make the checkpoints disappear once you are approaching them kind of like the station ding before a bus stop. However checkpoints will disappear based on how fast you are going, the faster you are the further away from you the checkpoint will disappear. And in reverse, the slower you go, the closer you need to be to the checkpoint to make it disappear, however the main difference is that you won't actually have to hit the checkpoint itself, you can go wherever you please as long as you actually approach the checkpoint.

As already mentioned, the best thing would be to add an option to disable them, because then this would make it very difficult for new people to work as a bus driver.

I play Bus Driver every now and then and the checkpoints problem is a real one many times I missed a checkpoint by mistake and it was annoying
I agree with what you suggested Danzy and it keeps the checkpoints to help new players find the stops +1
