If CIT had been created before MTA, MTA would have been a server of CIT.

A nice idea. It is possible to ban talk about politics or the names of countries where there are no conflicts or wars, such as Gaza. Instead of waiting for someone to make a super advert and insult a country or a group of people, we ban the word Gaza, for example, and the same applies to the rest of the countries. :tick:

A good change would be to remove nationalities from in-game as well.

Positive regarding this.
We need to keep our game and real life politics separate. We are here to have fun and play a game, arguing and provoking each other won't do us any good.

Do also agree with this, as I feel like many will just change their names to have a tag to incite provocation as well.
They should also warn people not to change their ORIGINAL NAME to something temporary that's used to point out the mattet this suggestion is saying.

I think it would help the game be an escape from real world problems.

people bring their propaganda into the game whenever the slightest political conflict occurs anywhere in the world
keeping that shit out of the game has a higher overall benefit than the freedom of allowing them to discuss real life matters in public chats, especially since any such conversation ends in chaos anyway

doesnt work
we already added a script to block "palestine" etc from nicknames and people avoid it by writing stuff like "Phl1st1n3"

It was only added in the "Forum rules" section on the forum. And the changelog said "Forum rule"

True.
But that kinda makes the original rule kinda odd. This website encourages the debate of topics that affects us every day. How am I supposed to escape real world problems when there is a ton of people discussing Israel and global crisis? lol

I just hope the rule is not applied only when it's convenient.

If you're referring to my topic, how does an economic crisis "divide humanity"?

Video games in general, CIT in particular, is somewhere people escape to, from real life problems, and to have fun, I failed to understand why people keep carrying the shit outside into a game? Keep real life issues where it should be.  :tick:

I don't think this is an adequate place to debate this topic and I don't recall saying an economic crisis divides humanity.

My point is that both subjects have the potential to trigger someone.

Clearly a rule like this can only work if it is applied equally and fairly

Currently we already have an ingame rule about political/religious debates and I have witnessed numerous cases of primarily arabic staff only applying that rule when it is convenient to them, which can not be the purpose of such rules and only adds to more unfairness in the server

Yes very big positive  :tick: . Cit should only be played as a game to pass the time and avoid dealing with the difficulties of real life, let alone to have fun. But it's also incredibly difficult to ban individuals from advertising war-related items or making foolish arguments about them in video games that only waste energy. But still we can start taking steps
