Battle Royale

Whats is Battle Royale? A little summary about Battle Royale.

A battle royale game is a video game genre that blends the survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of a survival game with last-man-standing gameplay. Battle royale games challenge a large number of players, starting with minimal equipment, to search for weapons and armor and eliminate all other opponents while avoiding being trapped outside of a shrinking "safe area", with the winner being the last competitor in the game. The name for the genre is taken from the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, which presents a similar theme of a last-man-standing competition in a shrinking play zone Source

Three main types of Battle Royale in CIT:
  • Solo Battle Royale - You alone must survive to win
  • Duo Battle Royale - You can have a partner and help each other to survive.
  • Squad Battle Royale - You can have a team with 3 other members (maximum of 4 including you) and help each other to survive. Keep in mind that other players have a team as well, so be careful on the outlands.
  • For Duo and Squad Battle Royale - Reviving a teammate is possible. Players will be knocked down at first before dying (they don't always have to be knocked down due to technical issues) which their teammates can revive by holding 'N' while standing over who is knocked down.

What you can and what you can't do in Battle Royale(?)
- You must always stay inside the shrinking play zone that will shrink/will be smaller every 4 minutes. Otherwise, you will lose your HP till you die.
- You can get weapons mostly around a house (Note: You can change your weapon if you find a same weapon type by pressing 'N'

).
- A team member will have a blip on your map/radar for you to know their location. They will be marked on your map/radar like this A team-mate will also get a 'Team' above their heads to differentiate them from other players.
- You can place a waypoint that is visible to team-mates only by pressing right mouse button while your map (F11) is open
- A white line will appear on your map (F11) this line is where the plane is heading. You can leave the plane by pressing 'F' any time you want.
- Which direction to move toward? Simple, a white thin line is drawn on your screen starting from your skin's chest and ends to the center of the yellow play zone.
- You can spectate a team-mate, you'll be spectating your team-mates as soon as you die and you also can switch between them by arrow keys. In case you want to exit spectating, press Q.
- You still can get the winning reward if you died and logged out while in a team.
- There will be a small red zone inside the yellow shrinking zone, you must avoid this red zone as there will be random bombs that will be dropped randomly.
- There will be a crate that will drop randomly where you can get random but special weapons. It looks like this

- Event tips are also available, that appear every specific period of time showing tips for the current running mode to help you out when you get stuck. This can be disabled in /settings via 'Event Tips' setting though, there are some tips that will have to be shown that neglect this setting.
- You can find random land vehicles, aircraft and boats around.
- /crafting (F9) is disabled in Battle Royale. You cannot use your jerry cans and repair kits for better and fair gameplay.
- You cannot use '/engine' on any vehicle that you can use in Battle Royale as its not owned or spawned by you.
- Being the player who won the Battle Royale the most for the day will be announced on the login panel. Like this.

Battle Royale game modes
The current new game modes start only on weekends for now.
  • Arcade - A fast-paced match in which the play zone gets created immediately at the start and its size is smaller. The shrinking timer runs faster, drops get created early and they move toward the ground faster. Only starts on Friday.
  • Saturday Night Live - A solo competition that the most wins in this event get a big reward at midnight on Saturday. Only starts on Saturday.

Useful commands for Battle Royale
  • /br - To join or to sign up the Battle Royale. (Use /br again to cancel if you signed up)
  • /leaveevent - To leave the Battle Royale.
  • /br update - To show the current status of Battle Royale. It will show you the time remaining before it starts, the number of players that have signed up/joined the lobby and the number of players who are still alive. This will appear on the right corner of your screen.

  • /tc <text> - To chat privately with your teammates (Note: localchat 'U' is disabled in Battle Royale)
  • /team - To open the panel where you can see the members of your team, create/join a team, accept/deny team invites. In case you don't have a friend to play Duo and Squad Battle Royale, you can tick the "Auto-fill" and any other players who are not in a team will automatically join your team. (Or if you and your friends need more members for your team) Untick/uncheck the Auto-fill to disable it.

Battle Royale's Prize
- The prize is random and dynamic as it depends on how many joined the Battle Royale. Once you or your team have won the Battle Royale, you will receive a message saying that:

"Congratulations! You won Solo/Duo/Squad Battle Royale event out of <number of participants> players.
You got <prize> as a reward!
<Your name/Your team's name> is the winner of Solo/Duo/Squad Battle Royale event out of 4 players!"

Probably the server's timezone.
