At around 19:00 the server was shutdown to install an epic "hack" (http://code.google.com/p/mtasa-blue/source/detail?r=2650 +1 it all) to allow up to 254 players on a server.
At around 20:15 we had 254/254 online. Absolutely incredible.
Thank you to the MTA developers who made this possible especially ccw and ryden for their work in the past week to make this possible!
I also said that if we got 200+ players today we're getting a new server, and I am a man of my word.
Edit: I would also like to say that this is the greatest motivation possible and will be working 100% on a big update for when 1.1 is out!

UPDATE:
<Arran> Perhaps we could an official MTA SA 1.1 beta test one day? Would love to and I've already made changes to scripts to use some of the new features like any car colours

This was so epic WORLDS first server 254/254, cittastic!

CIT- Has only been up for about 5 months and is top server! That must be record!

lol i remember, this was the first server i played in mta,
i didnt know what is mta, so i didnt know what was staff too :P. I think it was cardosa, i started punching it cuz i didnt know what was an admin in cit xD. I got admin jailed 600 secs, i though it was normal :O. After, i started realizing that this server is not that bad. I started delivery, and i started criminal, and cop. I discovered swat, about 3 weeks ago, its AWESOME. After 1 week of gameplay, i tryed to join other servers... THEY WERE HORRIBLE, u know why? because cit was the first server and it was the most balanced, stable and awesome server. Now, i cannot play other servers, because they are not perfect like Community of integrity and transparency. Its all thanks to Admins, ALL OF 'EM! Another thing, thank you to all my friends in this server... Keep up the pizza! lol. You know guys, 254 players, think about it, its a SERVER, imagine minecraft, i never saw a server with 120 players! Cit should be the main MTA server, but we need to keep the same admins, etc.
And again, Cit is awesome, AWESOME.
(I play cit more often than CoD!)
