CIT Project has come to an end
« on: 25 06, 2011, 06:49:11 pm »
It is time for the CIT project to end...

Don't worry though! We're only removing 'project' from the name.  ;D

Rather than CIT being a 'project' it will now be a 'community'

If you have any bookmarks that are for cit-project.net update them to cit2.net

Domain name migration is one of the first steps that will be taken to turn the CIT project into a real community, expect a whole range of changes in the coming weeks.

If it's going to be called CIT Community, it would sound kinda strange:
Community of Integrity and Transparency Community

Or I understood wrong?

And Arran you really started being funny last days! You almost killed many of us with the first line.

The shock was intended  8)

I know what you mean about "CIT Community" but it won't be called that, just "CIT"

Why not cit.net instead of cit2.net?

Because its taken already obviously. If you try cit.net see where you end up...

Also CIT is a company name ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIT_Group ) so its bound to have been taken by them but I suppose somebody else had it registered already.

First thing I thought when reading the topic was that there will not be any more updates until MTA 1.1 (and with that CIT2) came out. I did not even think about that CIT really ends, lol.

Good one.

No, that just means that CIT is "no longer" a "project", it is now "just" a community.
