Most sites today have a dark theme.
There are several reasons for this including: easier on the eyes in a dark room, battery saving on OLED screens.
Below are two dark themes compatible with SMF 2.0.15 which is the version CIT is on.

Another option is to use this as the main theme which has a light and dark version:

But I think its easier to stick with the basics and just add an extra theme for users who wish to have a dark mode.

If the other version didn't work, then I'll just upvote here as well. I've mentioned that I like dark themes as they don't hurt your eyes as much when you're browsing for a while, especially when I browse at night or in the early morning.

Definitely helpful and will help users who have eye issues and make it better for them to browse at night or during dark so that their eye won't pain. Pretty beneficial.

Upvoting due to the same reasons I've stated above in a previous reply, which is that I like dark themes as they don't hurt your eyes as much when you're browsing for a while, especially when I browse at night or in the early morning.

I definitely agree on this because I have experienced how annoying it is to get to bed and open your phone in the dark just to check something on CIT before getting to sleep. I believe that it would be much comfortable if we added a dark theme for CIT forums.

I have been notified that the real person behind this idea/suggestion is not you. @nakefafan suggested this on Councilors Discord server days before you submitted your topic. And he opened a discussion about it on forums, but idk why you submitted it without at least mentioning him so that he takes half the credits.
I know that you worked on promoting the idea, but it wasn’t yours at first place.

if all people care about is getting their name in update list then they dont care about the server.
