Film Competition
« on: 12 01, 2011, 10:49:25 pm »
I got this idea from: http://cit-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=349.0 (thanks Near)

CIT will be having a film competition, best film wins of course. The film should advertise MTA:SA and CIT RP and be uploaded to youtube. It doesn't have to be all filmed on the main server.

Anybody can enter and the winner will be the good entry as so far none are worthy of the prize and you have until the 12th of April 2011 to make it (one month from this post) I recommend that you group with somebody to increase your chances of winning, skill set available, 2/3/4+ brains is better than one. You can go solo but you're gonna have to be dedicated to making it work.

1st Place Prize:
$1,000,000 split amongst the winner(s)
Official CIT film director(s)
Ownership of LS film studio
You (and your partners) will be able to set it up as a business (when there is a business script)
Ability to create more videos as requested for more payments.

2nd Place Prize
$200,000 split amongst the winner(s)

3rd Place Prize
$100,000 split amongst the winner(s)

When you've made it post the link here. Can be whatever length it wants, you can submit new versions if you want feedback to make it even better. Questions? ask below.

OMG, +1!
Can't wait for the business script!
+ It would be good if we had land which we could 'buy'
Then build anything we want on it, thats what i'd use the money too if I was to win it.

I'll try this or next weekend on making a film / video.

Those who have comp that runs MTA with good graphics have a "little" bonus for this.. Well, I'll post here 640 x 480 resolution video which has 14 FPS xD

To be honest I could do with the money.. hmm.. perhaps I'll try to get something done

If you want to have descent video use Fraps.. I don't know many others, but for everyone's sake don't use hypercam :D

Fraps is the best program for game recording, but sadly the full version costs pretty much (I am not sure how much though). You can also use the testversion, but you'd only be able to record 30 seconds, then wait 5 seconds until being able to record again. Also, you'd have a "Fraps" frame on the upper side of the video.

And like Burger said, do not use Hypercam! It is pretty much the worst program.

I suggest we dont talk about pirated things on our forum, i feel kinda weird, almost every topic with any program is like "I cracked the game/file/program".

It's too easy these days to get cracked versions of everything..

Back to topic; is everything in that video required to be filmed in CIT? Or is it okay if I film things in map editor or something..?

You can film it anywhere it just have to generally be advertising CIT RP and MTA, so whatever people might enjoy to see.

So if no one post their video for the contest, I'll start with the second part of the first video. Here is the link:

I hope the second part is better than the first, and that latency isnt in the second video.
