MTA Crash
« on: 19 08, 2020, 02:37:16 pm »
After some time in CIT ( usually 1 - 2 hours) MTA suddenly closes as it is shown in the screenshot. I have noticed the time is different based on what im doing for example if im turfing in LV I do not get crash often but if im doing bus driver where I drive my coach MTA closes after 30 - 50 minutes. To be honest I have this problem for quite a few years, but since I wasn't that active back then I didin't care much.

Hey, you'll find how to solve it here.

MTA Crashing? Read Here First!

If your GAME crashes on startup or during game load, download and run MTADiag  and follow the instructions. If MTADiag will not run for you, install Visual C++ 2012 runtimes (download and install vcredist_x86.exe)

Any  Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you send it to me through PM.

If for some reason MTADiag does not function, do the following before creating a new topic:

•   Install the latest patch of MTA:SA

•   Install the latest DirectX runtimes

If installing those does not fix the problem, try:
Delete the gta_sa.set file located in the GTA San Andreas User Files in your Documents folder/library (Windows Vista and 7 users) or My Documents directory (Windows XP users)
Check in your GTA San Andreas installation directory for a D3D9.dll. If one is present, delete it.
If all of the above fail to fix your problem, please send a PM to me and include a dxdiag log by doing the following:
1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Type dxdiag and press Enter; if a dialog box pops up asking you to check for WHQL digital signatures, click Yes
3. Click Save all information...
4. Include the contents of the saved log in your post within [ code ] [ /code ](You don't have to add space between code and brackets)  tags.
Also include any error messages that may appear when your GAME crashes; either copy and paste of the crash log or a screenshot is fine.

Crashes mostly take place in MTA because of corrupt files in GTA or MTA/ using non-standard models(e.g modified textures, huds, modded weapons, modded vehicles and any mod overall in GTA files could be the cause of it) in such a case all what you need is using a standard GTA sa has no sort of mods in. If you have already tried that and the problem is still there, then it's a hardware related issue specifically if you have a low RAM.

I also recommend reading this MTA wiki page, you might find useful information related to your problem there.

Well my PC does have a low RAM so it might be this problem causing it although some years ago it was fine for me

Low RAM or low graphics card. Also, removing the mods or using GTA without mods might be helpful. In that way there will be less error in files if it is not hardware related. But your problem might be solved by closing multiple applications in the background if you have low RAM. It happens to me when I was saving photos too much. By the way, did you experience it too when doing News Reporter Job while taking some photos?

I have Low ram (2GB) and no Graphics card and I can play MTA but the highest fps I experienced are 55 -56 FPS only.

I believe its not Low RAM you're problem's root. Maybe its your CPU or its overheating (if you dont use hud mods effect mods etc etc) my CPU is 2.94GHz

some years ago it was fine for me
seems like you did something on your files or modified some files that aren't needed to be modified. Re-downloading GTA-SA and MTA might help.

Look, you got 2 solutions:

Either you change all your game settings to VERY-LOW which means, removing all your mods and restarting all your settings then make it all very-low.
(MTA Settings > Advanced > Streaming memory > make it very low)
(MTA Settings > Video > FX Quality > Very low)
(MTA Settings > Ani-filtering > Off)
This is link for very low-fps effect mod, you can use it and it'll help.
Make your resolution very-low, example: 1028x768 or 800x600.

Or, you need to replace the Kernelbase.dll file in Windows folder. You can download it from here. (I advice you to read the description of this file.)

Note: Since the game was working fine for you, there's nothing related to low memory or GPU. I was playing CIT on Intel core2duo E8400 3.0GHz 2GB Ram, FPS Average: 70~77.
