Title: [Resolved] Deleting a mistake report
Post by: Demon on 15 12, 2012, 03:13:35 pm
Hello,
Today I am suggesting on you that the player can be able to delete his report if he did it by a mistake or something, The command can be /dreport or anything, And it will appear for the admins like this: "name" has deleted his report. So they dont get confused or something, This will help admins by only have the vaild reports on their panel.

Thanks for reading,
Demon

Yes i'm agree with you because some people post reports by mistake or they have it binded and this will not disturb admins with many wrong reports on their panel +1

Yes, I agree on this.

@People who never did a report by mistake, try binding /report DM and you WILL accidently press it

But we need a way to prevent spammers using the command, something like "You should wait 30 seconds to use this command again".

For sure there could be one, or the one who will spam it gets punished or w/e.
You mean if you forgiven the person you reported.btw if you made it by mistake as you said nothing will happen to you,i'd like the command can be /dreport "reason(like DM/...)" +1 then.
Its not important to make /dreport <reason> because when a guy just do /dreport that means that he want his report to be no longer able to get viewed by a staff member.

There's been too many times I've failed reporting DMers because of my terribad screenshot timing.

not sure if it is possible but if it is then +1 because I often see they support chat with players telling admins to ignore their fail reports

If possible, great. I'll upvote anyways.

I used to accidentally press '' /report dm '' key alot ... then I'd be on support like '' Fail report, so sorry. ''

In that sense this command for me would be very needed, as I often keep sending fail reports. There has also been ocassions where I've reported someone by mistake, I.e I realised that no, they didn't DM or troll etc ...

Obviously it's up to us to be more carefull but sometimes ... we can't or don't mean to screw up. It'll hopefully reduce spam reports too, making staff's life, a bit ... easier?

That's a good idea, and to be very useful, because many people use "bind" and end up accidentally pressing and so sending a report invalid the [CIT]s that probably should not like! +1

I think that a current staff have to vote on this, since it can maybe annoy them. They can get trolled by someone (Spamming their chatbox with "Name has sent a report", "Name has deleted the report" etc..)

If a staff can confirm that they won't be trolled, then I can vote +1.

Same, wondering if its possible but I guess it is. I agree one time I accidently pressed my report deathmatching bind when I was spa*king someone and I was really scared to get punsihed. +1

I agree with this as people with binds may report by mistake but it should have a anti-spam check to prevent spammers from spamming the staff's screen. Though, +1 from me.

I totally agree with you.

A command to view the report sent would also be useful so that you can see if you failed or not.

Maybe you view it before it gets uploaded, so if the screenshot failed, you delete it yourself

It could be better if you do /report <reason> you get the screen shot that you took, if it is not a fail there would be a button "send report" if it was not a fail and a vaild screen shot if it is not there could be a button "close" and that will not make it get sended to the staff.

There is no point, its a matter of a button that's what some admins said themselves. Also this could be used for a bribery system, for example if someone reports someone else but then the guy bribes him, he will never get punished. However if there was a picture of the screenshot before sent that would be great.

How come you guys fail due to pressing the binded button to /report.. that never happened to me. Also I have never found any admin complaining about this matter, though I will up-vote it anyways as it might lessen the work on the admins' shoulder.
