Title: About forum gifs
Post by: Private on 14 07, 2023, 02:40:28 pm
Recently, I added a very small GIF which was a waving flag one on my signature (https://imgur.com/EOXTm9n) and someone messaged me saying I might get warned for having a GIF. I know the general rule about GIFs, the multiple disccusion topics made about this topic. But I'm not talking about a forum profile GIF, just a small GIF at my signature which won't cause harm by being too flashy etc.

So, can I have it? I want a sure answer and from a staff, not just random answers and uncertain ones which aren't useful but for those who want to farm posts. There are other topics which can let you have that.

Thanks.

It doesn't really have to be flashy, the mere fact of having something -or multiples, if you have more than one reply, or if there are multiple people using them- moving in your field of vision can be distracting, especially that they keep repeating over and over, unlike on twitter for example, where you have to click it to animate, then it stops again.

Thanks for the reply  :o7:

Feel free to close this topic since M3dusa's answer covered me.
