MTA icon launches GTA:SA single player

Multi Theft Auto icon opens normal GTA:SA single player instead of MTA. This is probably related to this new MTA update. If I install older version of MTA it opens just fine but I cannot connect to CIT without updating. After updating it breaks again and opens single player.

So yea anyone had similar problem or have any solution?

Yeah found that one before and tried all solutions they provided. Did not fix it.

Had this issue with the Rockstar launcher before. Move your GTA files to your Programs x86 folder instead of just programs. That's what worked for me.

Can't be that. my MTA and GTA:SA files are in x86.

Everything is fine, but let me give you an options to try. Uninstall your MTA then Reinstall your MTA to a different/wrong GTA SA folder. Then Reinstall again to the exact folders.

Where does the shortcut point to? Right click MTA icon then do > open file location, does it bring to you GTA:SA install folder or MTA install folder? Awkward issue you're having there.

File location is correct, MTA install folder. And yeah rather weird issue

Do you have a GTA-SA-looking file called proxy in your GTA SA directory? If yes, try deleting it and open launcher again.

Just did that. Didn't help unfortunately.

I had one before reinstalling everything again. Tried to delete it but it didn't do anything.
