Early February 2013
« on: 10 02, 2013, 12:25:04 pm »
It's been an interesting start to this month because we just had a developer and potential developer resign at the same time for no good reason. It made me realise how hard it is to get contributors that are loyal.

But with many bad things that happen, there is a chance to come back even stronger and this is a perfect example of such a thing. After realising how hard it is to get any new loyal contributors I thought to myself why not make better use of the staff who are already proven to be loyal people?

And so it begins. As of yesterday I am teaching some staff how to script and if all goes to plan we'll have a lot of loyal contributors in no time, making things that right now we can only dream of.

Good luck with teaching the other Staffs how to script. It won't be easy, because I tried to script by myself too (I failed).

I can not understand why a Staff member leaves after one day. Well it was his choice.

Keep it up and good job.

Regards,

Nico

I am pretty sure that Rick, Araa and the other developers are able to improve and to continue working on the server. Also, we have many other scripters who are here just as players. The community won't be depended on such a problem.

Great, CIT needs scripters, if only I could know how to develop a server....

Anyway let's hear only good from new developing team, can we know their names?

When they get to a stage where they can start their development trial they'll show up on the roster as most will probably lose interest and not finish.

I would like to contribute and be a developer of CIT, now I'm working on a script that can be very useful to see Arran in CIT, almost finished.

PD: That script is in Accepted Suggestions.

It's so stupid and pathetic that he left after one day, hopefully this idea will turn out good and maybe some staff might find a special talent.
I miss nr7

Well, I'm trying. I'm already familiar with logical operators and their relationship between themselves and how they function due to my formal education. The harder part was overcoming the starting issues such as meta.xml and some other not-so-coding-related issues. After that, what's left is to understand the client-server dichotomy fully and get the grasp of functions and events. The rest is matter of lurking MTA wiki. So it's really not that big of a deal.

I hope CIT will always be as good as it is. Cause if anything bad happens, imagine the number of addicted people, imagine how sad we will feel.

Why they should loose interest, if they accepted to get involved in a project then they must continue it regardless the work they have to do.

If they feel "tired" or not so interested I suggest them to leave it's developing seat for someone else who really wants to do some good work in CIT.

What...

To be honest, I think that Smart left because he knows that without working on developing, he wont resist as a staff, he was chosen because of his skills.

Let's hope for the best anyway.

What...

Can we have some ENGLISH PLEASE?

I hope CIT will always be as good as it is. Cause if anything bad happens, imagine the number of addicted people, imagine how sad we will feel.

CIT will never shut down as long as it's got players. Even if nobody donated I'd stick it on a £15/month server and leave it be for a few hundred players. That'll never happen though as the community support is very strong.
