Step-by-Step Fishing Tutorial in the Game

Step 1: Selecting a Location and Preparation
Once you've obtained the job, the first step is to head to any location on the map where there is water. Keep in mind that you can now fish while on land, so using a boat is an option. However, if you choose to use a boat, you need to exit the boat and remain near it to be able to fish.

Step 2: Starting the Fishing Process
To begin fishing, hold the Right Mouse Button (RMB) and aim at the desired spot in the water where you want to fish, then press the Left Mouse Button (LMB). After a few seconds, a mini-game will appear on your screen. You must press the Space or Left Mouse Button to keep the Green/Red Bar aligned with the fish as it rises (Note that if the bar turns red, your meter will decrease, and if it reaches zero, you will lose the fish, so try to keep it in the green). Once you've successfully caught a fish, repeat the process until your Net Capacity reaches 100% at the bottom right corner of your screen.

Step 3: Unloading the Fish
When your Net Capacity reaches 100%, it's time to head to an unloading point, which is marked by a red 'S' blip on your radar. Unloading can be done at any time, so you don't need to wait until your Net Capacity is full to unload. Simply navigate your character to the unloading point and follow the instructions to unload your catch.

Step 4: Monitoring the Fish Population
Keep an eye on the "This area's fish population" indicator. Once it reaches 25%, fishing will no longer be possible in that area, and you'll need to move to a new location to continue fishing.

Note: You no longer need to use the Reefer to fish. You can simply fish from land or choose to use a boat (Reefer) for fishing. Just remember that you have to stay near the boat you're on in order to fish successfully.

Also, keep in mind that the fish population in an area determines which fish you get, here's a list of all of the possible types of fish and cash rewards that you get for catching them:
