Title: House Updates
Post by: Arran on 04 07, 2013, 01:26:28 pm: Since there have been a variety of housing updates and we don't have much news, why not make a news topic?

Lowered the maximum houses you can own from 3 to 1. This is because there are only 3000 houses and 5000 unique players a day so it's quite selfish that one person can own 3 nice houses when other players can't even get 1 house. If you own 3 already you won't lose them, you just won't be able to buy any more until you've sold them all.

Lowered the time an account can be inactive from 40 to 30 days for their houses to automatically be put up for sale at the bought price so as to free up more houses for players who actually play. If the house is sold and you had items in the house pocket they will be added to your inventory.

Made it so that you can recover a vehicle to your position if you're near your house icon even when not VIP.

Added last online time to house GUI.

Added player name to house GUI if they're online now.

Added 20 shanty houses to the shanty town in North East Los Santos. $1 mil each, Ryder's Interior.

For justice: confiscated tens of millions from those who bought houses for 2-4 mil and sold them for 40-80 mil. 30 day account bans too for exploitation.

Set the maximum you can sell a house for to 5 times the initial price so if initial price is 1 million max sale price is 5 million this also applies to houses already for sale so nobody will be able to buy it until it's set below 5 times the initial price.

Set the minimum you can sell a house for to the initial price, so dodgy traders and scammers can't sell houses for $1.

After reading that bit, I was very, very happy. It has always bugged me how there were no limits on houses and people could sell them for ridiculous prices. Even the int. 1 houses were being sold for over 500k. There were just no limits or boundaries preventing this.

I am also really happy to see some new houses added. Should we expect some more to come soon too?

And now people who don't have tons of money can afford some houses they couldn't before, making the game more enjoyable and fair. Thank you and good job!

Can anyone confirm if it is 5x or 2.5x? Cause today Anon I believe laid down a reminder in main chat saying 2.5x is the max value to sell houses, above that is punishable.

In fact the 16 houses bought in a 10 minutes after the update.

Post by: Zhelo on 05 07, 2013, 07:09:29 pm: Yeah, by the new house updation added in Bone County, El Quabrados I can see that this place has been abit popular rated. It's a nice updates as now a lonely place have became a place that can bring and distract people at there.

And also imo, developers should add more houses with the Mad Dog Mansion interior to the place which is not popular rated among players. If this get implemented, believe me, the place will now also be used as the other places.

Though, it was a good update.

I agree with you, but I'm not sure because SF has a lot of great houses and only civilians go there, most of the players if not All of them, are usually active at LS to join criminal events and at LV to turf with their gang mates. for example, if I want to buy a new house now, i'll prefer it to be beside the BR or the DFR etc.

Nice job Arran , But if someone got benned for 30 days he will lose hes house I think this is not fair.

1. Only if somebody wants it.
2. Then don't get banned for over 30 days.

Lets see here. If a player has 3 super nice houses or mansions. Why would he even sell them? He'll just keep the 3 houses/mansions and the same problem will persist.

That case would be rare, most of people are buying/selling houses frequently.

Not when you payed 50m for them and now the max selling price is 5m

Something will need doing about people with 3 houses though, like forced sale or house tax.

Post by: Zergad on 07 07, 2013, 11:52:48 am: I was trying to sell my 3 houses (bought for each 80k in LV) , but its really hard to find anyone, who wants to buy it, and I was giving it for free to my group members, but I found only one who wanted one..

I am ready to get rid off my houses, without getting the Initial price back, so a re-sell command for getting the 50% Initial price would be welcome.

ps: Its almost impossible to sell houses in LV; because simply nobody wants one.

Post by: rounder on 07 07, 2013, 01:53:15 pm: Well, I have a house in LV too, currently its really hard to find a player involved with LV houses, means LV houses and Interiors become pretty useless, so im wondring about, if you're in your house area that means you're in safe zone means no-one will be able to hit you (only you & maybe CIT book friends too).
