- Each time you equip the jetpack, 1 unit of nitrous (<$9) will be consumed. (Arran + JaVa)
This update got added on March 12, 2018 and it's kinda pointless if we will lose 1 unit of nitrous ONLY by equipping it. Looks realistic that jetpack requires nitrous, but it would be more realistic if we will continuously consume nitrous while jetpack is equipped. This is to increase the need of nitrous in the server and to make it more realistic when using a jetpack.
As a racer I spend lots of nitrous but even I spend around maximum 3k-4k nitrous per day and it is really not much. This suggestion will increase the usage of nitrous and boost the nitrous economy. Also it will add some more realism to server. A small detail but a good one for the economy.
Conclusion:
- Jetpack will consume nitrous like cars, at the same speed.
- New players will get 5000 nitrous at the beginning to allow them using jetpack freely since they have free VIP for the first 10 hours in the server.

It should be just like cars.

Supporting this idea. As jetpacks are used a lot by most players, and losing it on a rate of a car sounds okay to me, it could really improve and skyrocket Nitrous economy without overpowering it.
But, then, on another perspective? It kind of gives me feeling that it takes out the VIP part of it, like what did you pay 200k for 10 hours just so you need to buy more nitrous? VIP hour prices are a lot and I know people are also rich, but still, this fact worries me.

If you won't use jetpack to travel from one end of the map to the other end, it won't be a problem. You can buy nitrous $10 easily, or even less, and even racers spend around 3k-4k daily for maximum and you can easily make more money than that with extended VIP earnlimit.

Currently vehicles consume around 1 nitrous per second if driving, if you are idling with nitrous its not consuming.
What I think should be made with JetPack :
Everytime equipping a jetpack it would cost you 10 nitrous to do so ( Instead of initially 1 )
The amount of nitrous consumed should be dynamic and depend on the players playtime.
Less than 168 hours - Jetpack consumes no nitrous
168 - 750 - Jetpack consumes 1 nitrous in 3 seconds when moving
750 - 1500 - Jetpack consumes 2 nitrous in 3 seconds when moving
1500 - 3500 - Jetpack consumes 1 nitrous every second when moving
3500 and higher - Jetpack consumes 2 nitrous every second when moving

A good way to spend nitrous considering the fact that nitrous is being consumed at a very slow rate.
Though jetpack should consume nitrous at the following rate: 3 / second.

It should be the same way the cars use nitrous, as you have mentioned. I also like the 5k beginning starter pack for newbies, seems fair.

I already stated the reasons above of why I am supporting it. The idea of losing only one unit of Nitrous everytime you equip it is pointless anyways. This could result in a true boost of Nitrous economy.
A package for newbies of 5k nitrous is a good idea.

Nitrous are pretty cheap to be honest and won't require that much money as well even if this got implemented. Nitrous currently is most used for vehicles, so adding another use of it will make it great.

I am definitely gonna agree on finding other ways to use nitrous. And not to mention that nitrous are pretty much cheap, so I guess implementing this idea/suggestion would great.

Please add a GUI element that shows your nitrous like when driving a car so we can see it.
