Title: Adding a 6 second delay before getting criminal job when entering riot area
Post by: Metall on 12 09, 2023, 11:38:38 pm
My suggestion is simple, add a 6 second delay for getting the criminal job when entering the riot area. You may ask why? Well this is particularly annoying because when being a gangster and just driving by the riot area and then immediately when you enter the zone your occupation gets switched to criminal. Adding a delay like this won't interrupt any of the riot activity, but rather be useful for players that are just passing by and does not want to attend the riot, especially nowadays when riots are moved between basically every store in Los Santos and not just kept in the old riot areas.

Riots are quite visibly demarcated, so I don't see why this is necessary.

Great idea, many times I have been driving past a riot zone as a gangster and just lost my job instantly. :tick:

I don't believe they are so visibly marked, especially not the store robbery ones. Many nearby blips and players running around and at times, especially store robbery riots, are placed in a store that is right next to a popular road passage and thus making it very hard to avoid them.

Can you prove that? this seems to be a false claim.

When being a gangster and just driving by the riot area and then immediately when you enter the zone your occupation gets switched to criminal.

Haven't experience this so gangsters cannot join riot? I don't know about this thing seriously because i'm rarely particiating if there is a riot happening coz i'm usually doing criminal activities alone.

Anyway upvoting this suggestion! Also I think 5secs is enough because the area covered is not much wide and most of us are driving fast. :tick: :tick: :tick:

And we need this in the future if some of LS turfers will abuse it if there is an riot happening, Just correct me if im wrong I would be glad. Your thoughts?

Getting ejected from aircraft does happen to me as a cop player but on ARs even if I'm just flying by on top of the area. Is that intentional? Thought it would be a similar thing. Regardless, it is annoying and happens sometimes that the next riot starts right under you by pure coincidence.

I have no clue on how it works on Armed Robberies, sorry.

Added the suggestion because it makes sense.
