Hi community,
I've been thinking about how nice would it be if we were able to set a particular sound of our choice for each weapon from the available weapon sound sets. Tbh, I'm not satisfied with the available sets of sounds because some of them are pretty good but at the same time few others simply suck.
For example, In 'GTA's Default' set, tec /minigun /shotgun sounds are very nice, whereas in the same set, Ak/Uzi sound is just a pain in the ear.
So my idea is to let players choose their preferable sounds for EACH weapon from the sound sets, just like how we can choose a specific crosshair for each weapon.
Thank you

Well, tho it seems a bit complex for development , but it is helpful for Customization. :tick:

Having different sound options for each weapon increases the enjoyment of the game, and I think more sound options should be added ig.
-
This will make the game more fun and make the player choose what he wants of guns sound. positive :tick: :tick:

Well, adding something like that to the game will be pretty great, and that'll be helpful in videos aka movies that some groups does in-game.
I'm voting Positive. :tick:

I like your idea, this brings more variety and gives some extra to the game. As there are weapons mods it would be awesome if we could add different sounds to our weapons too. However, in my point of view it sounds a bit difficult to program but I will be positive about it.

I am supporting your suggestion because it will be more fun plus I dont like any one of them. :tick:

Even though this looks complex to me, but devs proved that almost nothing was rejected cuz it's hard to script, I like the idea, thus :tick:

I liked your idea but I think you should provide some examples of sounds you want to add so it can be easier for Developers anyway I am going positive :tick:

Was thinking about the exact same idea yesterday, good thing that you suggested it. Being able to set a specific sound for each weapon will allow us to have the best of all the sound packs that are available.
Voting positive

Voting Positive, It will definitely come in handy for players using such plugins, I support this idea and see no negative effects.

Well this idea give us advantage to have new set gg :tick:

So u suggest, with the current sets of sounds just pick what we like and make our set? I'm right @Agent47

Depends upon developers, for now I think we should be able to customize our sound sets from the available ones. Then, they might take it to the next level by allowing players to download their desired sound effects in mp3/wave format and apply them ingame.

@Agent47 Since I'll be putting my life on the line for this, I've just one final question.
Correct me if I misunderstood, you want this to work the same way /crosshairs does?
- You open a panel
- You pick a weapon from a list
- You pick a specific sound from every sound pack for weapons we have to be played for that weapon?

100%, You got me absolutely right. Good luck comrade

Work in progress.

Might as well have a way to specify a custom file too. So that players can add files to the resources folder to be played when certain weapons are fired.
And one to not play any sound.
