What Is This Suggestion About: I am suggesting to add an automatic park brake feature on the "Trashmaster" Truck when exiting the vehicle because when working as a "Waste Manager" on hills, the moment you finish loading the truck it runs away. There's already an automatic engine on/off feature on the buses when picking up passengers. I am simply asking to replicate that function onto the trashmaster when working with it to prevent our vehicle from running away while on steep hills or steep roads. After entering back the vehicle it should automatically turn back the engine on for us to drive again.
How will this improve the job? : This will prevent frustration and limit time wasting chasing your truck going down the road while you could have been loading more trashs.
videos Explaining Why I am suggesting it: https://imgur.com/a/OeKmzzI ( There should be two videos to help you guys understand )

Bind /engine and use it when you leave the vehicle?

Bind /engine and use it when you leave the vehicle?
There's always going to be replies like this because you guys don't play the job so you wouldn't understand. Not every player will have available keys to bind /engine, the server has so many cmds. You have to be considerate towards players who also are new and just want to work and have fun.
Do players really have to go through this because they can't remember to type /engine every time they want to exit the truck?

As I said there's already a similar feature with the bus job, it shouldn't be hard to add.

I believe there's a bug that needs to be fixed. It's causing some issues, and resolving it would be important to ensure everything is running smoothly

You can not do this? you can bring back /recover or /bind key recover quickly after the vehicle is getting off

and how many trashes are placed along the roads for me to constantly use /recover ? Did you even watch the videos I’ve Posted? Basically you are saying that the 6-7 trashes along the steep hill I must use /recover 6-7 time just to collect 6-7 trashes? Does that make sense?

Okay this is funny and I laughed but annoying for the civilian so I'm positive :tick: :kek5:

I watched from the video, But when you litter then you gotta do it fast Bind /recover Try once if it doesn't work, If it doesn't work you can do it like this as he said Vampire

I hope you don't complain about not your car having an automatic parking brake in real life. It shouldn't be that complicated to pull the parking brake in this game. All you have do to is either attaching the command to a key so you can press the key and the engine will stop or typing the command itself to stop the engine manually. Negative.
How is my car In real Life not having an automatic brake related to my suggestion? Did you even read my suggestion? There’s a JOB with the same automatic park brake ! Which I am requesting for it to be transferred to the waste manager :fp: I respect everyone’s opinion but please read thoroughly before making useless comments.

another one that doesn’t read :fp:… it’s clearly the majority above doesn’t even play the JOB but they find themselves making it hard for civilians to have a less complicated time working.

I don't why so much people are voting negative on a thing that is harmless, and most of them don't even play the job, and this is annoying as hell. Positive :tick:
-
Since the script does already exist for buses as mentioned, I believe replicating it for trashmaster wouldn't really be an issue. newbies are not really aware of /engine & may even not be aware of binding any commands; thus I'd be positive.

Travis suggestion? ofc positive :thumb:

I'm gonna vote :tick: on this I am always playing civ and this kind of thing is too annoying even though you bind /engine sometimes you forgot to press the bind. So :tick:

I'm an L10 waste manager that actually read through your suggestion. This would be a great addition instead of me trying to place the trash delicately in the back every time and it not rolling down the hill. This is a great suggestion given that the bus driver has something similar already. I don't want to have to use a command nearly every trash pickup even if it's bound when there could be a feature that exists in other jobs already.

Well, let's do it, you're both right Vampire and you, But it's true that the /engine can do just that, But I think so, while doing this, the /engine gets very tired after getting off and then getting on
Actually, I was doing the same, but I don't because when I do it, it starts to get tired. I give Postive :tick:

Seems like a good idea, many new players probably don't even know /engine exists. :tick:
-
It happens in Deliveryman too (sometimes) which is really annoying if you experienced it. so my vote is :tick:
-
There is a similar thing which is added to bus job so yeah I think this thing wouldn’t be a problem. Also it will be so helpfull for new players who doesn’t know /engine. So I’m positive
-
As far as I remember there is an option in settings to enable auto /engine when you stop the vehicle and exit it.

It's removed.
- Removed annoying confusing 'automatic engine ignition' setting. Also fixed engine being off for a second when first entering. (Arran + Madama)
Imo, it's supposed to stop when you push it if you held the handbrake before leaving any vehicle. It's more like a bug for me.

I'll add the same code we used to have but only for trashmaster and for Waste Managers

As you've mentioned apparently such feature exists for buses so implementing it to trashmaster shouldn't be that much of an hassle I believe. I'll go with a positive :tick:
-
Dude, I see it's annoying sometimes but you just want to make your job easier as far as I see. There are so few places like that to park but if you're in such places just type -/engine. I am sorry but it ain't essential for CIT. I'll go negatively here. :cros:
