Deathmatchers locked in LV

I was trying to think of an idea for SF then I saw somebody yet again get banned for DMing and I thought to myself we could easily get all the DMers and put them in LV.

So I did. People that are now banned for Deathmatching will be able to login but will be forced to remain inside LV where DM is allowed. Considering most bans are for DM we may be seeing a busy LV soon.

If you're banned from the server for deathmatching, you may now enter the server and play in LV only. All other bans are still treated the normal way.

That's cool Arran, I like this idea. However would this still count as a ban in /punishlog? And would we be able to come and see / kill them?

I think it would be nice if their name was changed to something which we could recognize as the player being banned, to make is life a little harder. Like a different color for example.

Punish log is just the same as before. Of course you can "see / kill" them, they're just like normal players but forced to remain inside LV.

Why do players need to know that they're banned for DM?

Well, those players would probably be targeted by the general LV population. I think that the banned DM'ers would get rather annoyed and ashamed to be targeted and killed by other players on sight.
In my opinion, it can be worse than getting banned from the server itself.

Very good idea, but in case of perma ban , their money and ammo will end in some time , what they will do?

this may increase the DM stats in LS/SF ! so players will say ..now I will DM if they caught me I will go LV it's normal , so you guys call this ban ! now admins when they caught a crazy DMer instead to ban him they will warp him to LV

I saw some people yelling at staffs "UNBAN ME ADMEN!!!". We should also find a solution for that.
How about: They should be muted until they are unbanned ?
Atleast, they must afford this much punishment for their DMs.

I agree, globally muted till their ban is lifted.

I've disabled everything but local, group chat and SMS.

Did you also disable /report for them? It would be good because already yesterday, the day this was applied, somebody abused it to appeal his ban.
