I hope a tutorial/guide about jobs should do it.
A lot of new players keep asking what is the best job so I made this little guide with some advices for the new players. Of course I cannot tell you what to do because it's all up to personal preference.
As a newbie I suggest you first to try Roleplay jobs. The most common jobs in this area are the Bus Driver job and the Pilot job. Why?
The Bus Driver job has: Stats, good payment (175$ per bus stop, after promotions you get even more.), ranks and so on. You get bonus for: 10 bus stops in a row, 15 bus stops in a row, 20 bus stops in a row whatsoever until 50 bus stops in a row. The bonus starts from 500$ and increases the more bus stops in a row you have! It's extremely fun! Once you get promoted (reaching a given amount of bus stops) you also get bonus. The higher rank you get, the bigger bonus you get. You get bonus if you carry real passengers as well.
The Pilot job gives you the awesome opportunity to be a part of the Juank Airlines! You can drive all sort of aircraft to a set destination. The payment is also good. Varies on how far away the destination is. You also have ranks there. The system is the same: you need to reach the given amount of flights to get promoted. You get bonus for carrying real passengers. You have the ability to drive the biggest planes in the game! You can't purchase them. You can only spawn them as Pilot. But be careful, they are hard to drive.
Paramedic - Emergency services. In this job you can be a medic. You simply heal cured people. The payment is not that good - around 10$ for 1 HP. So if the person is almost dead you can win 900$. You have ranks too. From Medical Recruit to Jesus Christ. Once you are Jesus Christ, there is a myth you can walk on water! Nobody knows yet, so why not trying to be the first one and discover? You get promotion bonuses, the Jesus Christ promotion bonus is 1 million. You have a special GUI where it shows you: Your current rank, your next rank, health points needed for next rank, and you can mark wounded people from there. You get a job vehicle - an Ambulance.
Mechanic - One of the most wanted jobs. Daily there are dozens of crashes and people want their car repaired. You can repair people's cars. The payment is 100$-300$ depending on how much the vehicle is damaged. Here you don't have ranks or promotions. You can get 2 job vehicles.
Delivery Man - Deliver stuff. The payment is good, depending on the location once again. You have to deliver 5 packages and return to base for more work.
Taxi driver - You can drive a taxi too! Spawn a job taxi, find a costumer and take them to their desired location.
Limo driver - Basically the same job as the Taxi Driver, but you can drive a limo. Spawn a limo, find a costumer and take them to their desired location.
Waste Collector - Keeps the streets clean. You pick them up with a Trashmaster. Once you are done, you can empty the garbage truck in the base. You will receive payment, depending on the amount of garbage you collected.
Trucker - You have to deliver stuff with a truck. Go to the destination and enter the marker to receive payment. It's 1000$ or more depending on the location.
News Reporter - You are the press. You have to take pictures of famous people around San Andreas. Such as rich people, cars, killers. The payment is around 1000$.
Street sweeper - With this job you can clear the streets. Go over the garbage to win money.
Fisherman - With this job you can fish. You need a bought Reefer first. Go inside the sea and it will randomly catch fish. It can catch garbage too so make sure it's not near a coast. Soon your net will be full and you will have to free it at the nearest dock, you can win maximum 1000$. You catch different fish: some is cheaper, some is more expensive.
Hooker - With this job you have the ability to have sex. Just go into men's car and they can select your features!
Once you have some experienced you can move to the next step. Cops and Robbers (CNR).
There are 2 forces in this game mode. Law enforcement, criminals and gangsters.
Bank robbery: Every 2 hours you can rob the banks. You can win 8000$ if you succeed. If you kill a law enforcement you will win 2000$. If you kill a criminal you will win 4000$.
The law enforcement has ranks. When you reach 2100 arrests you are able to become a Police Chief! Remember, before requesting it you need to be contributed a lot to the the Law Enforcement.
Law enforcement - The basic idea of these teams is to prevent criminal activities.
Regular Officer - Has the ability to arrest.
Traffic Officer - Has the ability to make criminals wanted if they are driving with a too high speed. They have access to high speed vehicles.
Detective - Has the ability to investigate murders. Has access to different vehicles. Once you get a case you have to find clues.
There are squads in the Law enforcement: Armed Forces, SWAT Team, San Andreas Police Department. About them we will talk later on.
As a law enforcement in general you have to arrest wanted people. The number in the bracket behind their names is their wanted level. 0 - Unwanted, 1 - Light criminal, 2 - Light criminal, 3 - Dangerous criminal, 4 - Heavy criminal, 5 - Heavy criminal, 6 - Heaviest criminal. To arrest simply hit wanteds with nightstick. You can slow their movement with a tazer (silenced pistol). The payment depends on the wanted points the criminal has. The lowest payment you can get is 200$. If heavily wanted it can go over 30000$.
Squads:
Armed Forces - You can be a part of the army by having 400 arrests and 250 hours of playtime.
SWAT Team - You can be a part of SWAT by having 1000 arrests and 400 hours of playtime.
Both teams have the following advantages over other law enforcement: Barriers, Special vehicles, Base, ability to arrest other wanted law enforcement.
San Andreas Police Department - Official Law Enforcement team. You can be a part of it by having 200 arrests and 200 hours of playtime.
Criminals - The rebel force of the Law enforcement
As a criminal you have to do activities which make you wanted. This is basically the job that has the best earnings. Also there are a lot of activities you can do as a Criminal.
1) Drugs
1.1 You can make drugs at the drug factory. It takes a minute to make them. But for Weed it's different. You have to go to the Weed farm and harvest the weed.
1.2 Selling. You can sell your drugs. But stick to the recommended prices because you might be in a lack of interess.
2) Robbing
1.1 Bank Robbing. You can rob the bank and you can win 8000$. But you get 6 stars for that. You have to defend 6 checkpoints for 6 minutes and then you have to escape far away from the bank area to win the money.
1.2 House robbing. Simply get a vehicle and go to the red house on your map. There you can win drugs and money.
3)Hijack
There is a vehicle around San Andreas, you have to get it and deliver it to the buyer's location to win a lot of money. It's not that easy, others are after the vehicle too.
Mafia Wars
As a very experienced player now you can try Mafia Wars. They are located in Las Venturas and players from different gangs will try to claim turfs. There is a provocation level for 10 minutes, if nobody from a hostile gang is around you will be able to start a Turf war. To claim the turf you need to stay there for 6 minutes. And like this you can claim a turf. Want to start your own gang? Get more than 10 members and then you can set your own turf color with the command /turfcolor R G B, if R=Red, G=Green, B=Blue.
You win 2500$ by winning a turf.
Other methods of earning money
Mystery van - It's a van that appears every 5 minutes on a different location, you can win: drugs, money and armor.
Events - Every day there are events hosted by the staff team. You can win by doing the set objective. The money is usually between 30000$ - 200000$.
House business - You can buy houses from the Housing Agency and then sell them for a higher price.
