[+++] Forum: Dark Theme

Original suggestion by Avices, but the topic got locked for not providing specific SMF theme.

I've searched for some dark themes to match CIT's SMF version and the only one which was elegant and simple enough was this theme. Demo site, to see the theme live.

It'd be cool if we had an option to choose the theme in the Look and Layout section.

I've searched for quite a while and the only proper dark theme I could find was this one. There are many, but most of them are too scuffed, bugged, unappealing, or simply not suitable for CIT. Ngl, gold is complementing with black pretty well.

Upvoting this of course, why we was forced to have this shit all white theme? Disturbing our sight/vision?

This new theme that "goldnugget" provided seems beatiful, it would be rly a good addiction to the forum, as I always emphasize we need more 1,000 suggestions like this one to make it more modern and not odd... things should improve not go worse.

Honestly they have a bronze color and a dark mode background. really beautiful and I feel there is only one version of this that is suitable for CIT's SMF. We feel the forum's White background is too bright because people with poor eyesight also affect their eyes and if only we could Add a dark mode background to the mode part of the look and layout. and I thank @GoldNugget for finding a version that is quite consistent with the current CIT's SMF. and continue Doing Add Dark Mode to the forum. I support this suggestion

Well, as Violet said, "Dark themes are made to relax your eyes while doing anything on internet" I agree with that because I'm always have a dark theme in my pc just to relax and prevent a damage in my eyes and have a break and chill for my eyes  especially when we are doing something really important in computer, it might be helpful and cool if this will be added, Positive.

You realize this is optional right? You can have this default theme if you want. The dark one is a choice and not a must...

I'm supportive of this, a very big fan of dark mode in general.

I'm wondering how useless this suggestion is? and You can still choose white background or dark mode in the look and layout section and it doesn't change anything currently in the forum. and have you read all that in this thread and judge like that?

Idont agree with the idea cuz I like the forum's look it as it is, also Idont support the idea of making it look dark.
this forum is unique cuz Isee it as the only one that uses the non-dark color almost.
So Iguess my vote will be Negative.

Dude let me explain this to you. The meaning is that the forum will default to the original but players can use the dark mode by simply clicking on the look and layout section and turning it into dark mode. And the forum will be the same as before and players will still be able to use the light mode background of the current forum. and one can use dark mode it doesn't affect the player who prefers to use white background. but in some players here are always affected by the light of the white background this is really annoying for them. We can still choose between light mode and dark mode

You're literally making yourself seem retarded with your reply. First off, as Danzy said it's optional, everyone would be able to change theme from their profile settings and second, it only takes 15 seconds to install the theme mod as an administrator.

Themes are OPTIONAL... Everyone can change their themes in Look and Layout settings.


Before making assumptions, at least try to research not to look stupid.

Well, I'm a fan of the dark theme too and kinda everything is switching to dark theme Twitter, Snap, Discord.... Because it's really better than this shining white killing my eyes. So I'm going to upvote your suggestion
