Testing skin bug.
« on: 04 11, 2020, 08:47:04 am »
I'm new to editing skins and I'm still learning what and how some stuff works. So my problem is when I try a skin in-game (map editor) and set my skin to 285 (the skin that has a design) this is what is shows

. I tried to ask some people what the problem is, but they don't know either. I carefully followed the steps by opening txd workshop > open img > gta3 > pick swat.txd > import the skin .png > save txd. My TXD workshop

. Also I forgot to save the default swat.txd before editing it. So I download a png in google then import it in txd workshop. Lastly, when I tried to use the default skin in map editor this is what it looks like

That's the issue. The texture name should be named "swat" and not "swat.s". Just rename it and you should be good to go.

I renamed the file to swat but when I try it in game it still is an all black skin.

The 352x704 resolution of your skin is odd, use 512x1024.

Does this occur only when modding exactly this skin? And also make sure it's a proper file format when importing, such as .png or .jpg.

GTA/MTA also must not run when you're modifying the gta3.img file.

I tried this but it's still black

I tried to edit another skin and viewed it in-game and it was fine. It only occurs on skin 287. I don't really know what I did wrong.

This can be locked now. I already solved my own problem. The problem was just the mipmap was at '0' when it was supposed to be set on '1'. I appreciate your help, Extreme.
