Currently, lottery tickets are priced at 50k and prizes are in the 3-10 million range depending on how many times the prize has rolled over and how many people got the winning number. I would argue this is quite low stakes tbh. I remember once winning a prize on the lottery for around 4mil and not feeling the slightest bit of tension or joy from the occasion, as it seems too low stakes.
What I am proposing is that buy ins for the lottery are significantly increased by 10x or 20x to either 500k or 1 mil to buy in. The prizes should also be increased by the same proportion (either 10x or 20x). This way it maintains its balance in terms of chances of success but it feels like it actually matters whether you win or lose. I also think people would be far more likely to participate in the lottery if they could be looking at winning 30-100 mil despite the expected winnings over an infinite number of games being the same.
To clarify, I am not suggesting that we change anything about the probability or the risk to reward ratio, I just think that inflating both by 10-20x would make it something players actually care about.

In general it is a good suggestion since it is supposed to be a lottery, taking it to real life the prices of the lotteries are much higher, and if it is assumed that if you win you should get more money, totally positive

50k is nothing so currently buying a lottery ticket is done as a chance to get free money (which isn't too much as well) so I think it's fine to have more risk for a higher prize :tick:

This would incentivize me more to use the lottery.

I like your idea, it would definitely make the lottery feel more significant and enticing for players :tick:

Sounds good. More players would part take in the lottery. :tick:

Higher prizes can attract more players including me to participate in the lottery, potentially resulting in increased player interaction and participation which is a good idea.

Honestly, this would be a good way for people to sink their moneys into, while also having a chance at a worthwhile reward.

The suggestion has nothing to do with the chance of winning so people getting less money is wrong, they'll be getting more.
Positive

To my knowledge, the lottery isn't a money sink, it's just a method of wealth redistribution. 20 people buy the ticket, 1 winner gets $1,000,000 (unless there was a rollover)
How about we raise the stakes even more, to the tune of 40x ($2,000,000) per ticket, then introducing a tax cut out of the prize? so if we follow the same example above of 20 people
$2,000,000 * 20 ($40,000,000) *25% and the winner ends up with $30,000,000?

I like this idea as it would act as a money sink, additionally it would incentivize buying lottery tickets more. I will say I think a tax of 25% seems a bit high as with a tax that high the expected value for playing the lottery becomes too harshly negative. A tax, in principle is a good idea though, I would fully support a lower tax.

CIT inflation has made this necessary. Also I support Medusa's idea of having a tax on earnings. :tick:

Adjusting the lottery entry and prize to the inflation is a good idea, I'm sure more player would participate in the lottery since the chance of winning would not get affected by it. Also about the tax that Medusa said, I would be okay with a bit lower percentage, as 25% seems a little too much for me, and would affect negatively the new system imo, but everything under 25% is totally okay and I support it. :tick:

lottery range needs some changes
It's a good idea :tick:

Lottery has been useless nowadays, It was fun in past when it comes to old times with 500 player + we could get much money so making some changes would help to make it active. :tick:

Most CIT players don't have much money. Buying a lottery ticket and risking for a very small chance of winning everyday doesn't seem practical to me.
I'd rather take a chance with 50K to win 3-10 million than risk my 500K, which I earned in an hour. Negative
