Hello,
So first I thought it could be something on the server when I tried joining last night, then this morning I was getting same issue.
Players name are not loaded when clicking the server name as you can see below and if I tried to connect i'd get a connection timed out.

I have tried the following:
1. installing MTA again
2. PC restarting ofc because tried yesterday and today
3. Changed DNS to public 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
4. I have tried connecting also from the forum using the connect button.
5. I have changed screen resolution to different ones
I am not sure what else I can do here, if you have any hit or possible solution please let me know, I would really appreciate that.
Thanks!
PS: I was able to play a week ago tho, last Friday precisely
Edit: I am able to join other servers from the browser!

Try doing this.
1. Uninstall MTA > Delete the MTA Files from :C > Go to mtasa.com > Download Win7+ > Open the game when install is finish > Then enter CIT game.
2. Open on forum > Home > Click the Connect To Server on the left corner of your screen.
3. Re-start your router or reset it and restart your PC aswell.
I guess this would help you let me know.

May you share error code with us, is it CC23 or CD08? Probably something blocks your MTA traffic and you can check your firewall settings or you can stop antivirus running while playing MTA if it is running.

As for the firewall, I dont think anything has changed regarding that as last time I was able to play, and PC was off for 1 week because I was away. Regarding antivirus I don't use any, it's always been like that, I've had default windows defender for years.
PS: Restarting router didn't fix anything.
-
try to open cmd > type "ping s2.cit.gg", then tell us the values especially average value.

This^ is the only solution I guess, I've faced this problem many times, and restarting the router was the solution. Do it.

@Uardo. Do you have windows firewall on? Also, as you said the PC was off for a week and it was fine before that, as I remember win10 got updates in the past week, do you remember installing the updates?

I tried resetting the firewall and added manually MTA/GTA again but looks like doesn't solve the issue.
I also ran a bat file which I found here (https://forum.mtasa.com/topic/99346-solved-cc23-error-while-connecting-to-one-server/) and then ran the MTA diag, here is the pastebin log file

Well, yet again, try to disable firewall, like shown in the ss below and run the .bat file you found as an administrator, then restart your PC and run MTA diagnostic tool, check if you can connect without VPN after.
Search > Windows defender firewall > Turn windows defender firewall on or off

Done but still cannot connect, via VPN I can.
-
what if you manually enter mtasa://94.23.153.11:22003 in the quick connect?
-
Sadly no, doesn't work.
Since nothing seems to work on this, guess I will just wait maybe it fixes itself after sometime, so this can be locked.

unlocked upon request

I was told by a friend that @Arran can actually have an idea on what's happening with that, maybe we can find a possible solution:
I remember someone once had a same problem and Arran said in forum shoutbox it was because of the server host, you can try to re-open your topic and request to mention him.
TL;DR I can join all other servers except CIT. I am able to join via VPN but not without it. I have literally tried everything DNS / Firewall / Restarting Router / Restarting PC, followed this (https://forum.mtasa.com/topic/99346-solved-cc23-error-while-connecting-to-one-server/) topic, I have pinged s2.cit.gg https://i.imgur.com/PsRLvCe.png but nothing is working.
I honestly have no idea what to do at that point, hope we can resolve that.
-
Try to contact your ISP they might help you :thonk: 8)
-
Well, since you have tried many things I might give couple more ideas. They probably won't work either but worth giving a shot if you would like to. I would check hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc as a last resort as well as resetting my router to the factory settings. Do you connect to the game server from another computer in the same network?

haven't tried connecting with another computer because I dont have MTA/GTA there. I reset the router still doesnt work.

This method used to work for me I don't know why or how but give it a try
You need 2 WiFi connections for this to work, so what I used to do everytime I encountered this error is
- Connect to your default WiFi connection.
- Try connecting to CIT normally
- After pressing the connect button, alt-tab out and connect to another wifi then to your own one quick
for some unknown reason, this worked for me almost everytime, but if u don't have a 2nd wifi connection use 4G hotspot from your phone or sth

Ping s0.cit.gg and s2.cit.gg do they both give replies?
If connecting to other servers works then it won't be ISP or router being shit and blocking MTA traffic.
If you can get a reply on those pings, then your IP is not being blocked by the servers firewall. If that's the case then IDK WTF your problem is.
If no reply is received then do a tracert and paste the result here and tell me what your IP address is which you can see in the box here: https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup

IT'S WORKING NOW......I honestly was not aware of s0.cit.gg
So basically I pinged both addresses as you said https://i.imgur.com/nzNUKJz.png
Afterwards I went in MTA browser and and tried to connect again to the default that is shown in servers list but still wasn't working, then I tried entering manually s2.cit.gg still didn't work, but when I entered s0.cit.gg it connected and now also s2.cit.gg is working, I don't know how but I guess connecting to s0.cit.gg solved the issue.
THANKS!!!
