[Resolved] Lock and cruise control status icons
« on: 21 06, 2012, 01:05:31 pm »
I think as an pilot, in the screen it should show if cruise control is on or off. It wouldn't be hard to script
Because sometimes, while chatting and flying you press C without noticing, and that makes landing hard. I have to check lots, pressing C before landing to see whether cruise is on or off.

I have made screens when you press C.

I will add SS in aircraft later. I have gone with this position in the HUD, because that empty space can function as a dashboard. Locked, and fuel warning can be add later too next to CC HUD. Right now you can ignore the locked sign. Thats in another topic http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?topic=35122.0

As a civilian you probably wouldn't care, but if you are pilot, you know what I talk about

Being a pilot for almost 95% of my play time, I totally support this.

Very nice and also this function uses up some of the blank space and would look fitting there on that part of the hud I also agree with you sometimes when flying planes I wonder why I can't pull up =D

Good idea +1 but you could of added it to the lock idea.

Lol, happens to me all the time, sometimes I don't realize the cruise control whilst landing or steering. Would be great to have something showing us that cruise control is on. But why not make something more blatant, cause you wouldn't always be looking at your speed bar.

Not that i'm working as a pilot but I liked the idea of using the empty space at the hud and make it a dashboard instead. That is how real life is.

Since there's a free space in the speed bar, adding this along with the lock would be awesome.

But... The velocity pointer would get on top of the icons when it's an Infernus or NRG-500

That is no problem. Its a very thin pointer, and its already going on top of speed info
