Title: No Anti-Cheat SD16 Error
Post by: LegendaryDaphne on 14 04, 2022, 03:23:01 pm
Hello CIT community. I wish you all a very nice day.

I'm trying to play MTA with my M1 MacBook Air. I'm using Parallels with Windows 11 ARM Insider Preview and the single player GTA SA works fine with no issues. But I can't connect to a server, whenever I try it I get the error Anti-Cheat Component is missing.

Is there anything else I can do about it?

Have you tried closing the entire MTA and then entering and connect to CIT?

Restart your PC and try again, if all things fail, reinstall your MTA.

Also, are you playing from a Windows or Mac?

I'm playing on Windows virtual machine on Mac. I tried reinstalling MTA, but it still doesn't works unfortunately.

Yes, I tried to reboot my computer and the virtual machine, yet still the same issue.

Looks like a common issue without a proper solution when used on Virtual machines over a mac, read this - >

Try different virtual machines like Parallels etc, personally I used parallels once and it worked fine for CIT. Also, looks like its related to even M1 chips on Macs.

Thank you. I've tried to connect to alternative server to give it a try and had no issue, it seems like it's also related with CIT server requirements.

True, particular servers like CIT have elevated security measures, when it detects some anti cheat components not loaded by your os, it will kick you throwing an error. That's why you can join other servers which don't require this.

Aaand, actually its kind of a common issue and already mentioned in FAQ Second Question (https://cit.gg/index.php?topic=270907.msg4006583#msg4006583). Try those steps, but I am not sure how effective will they be on a VM.

EDIT: I will suggest you to reinstall the parallels for a stable Win 10 build and check if the issue persists. Win 11 ARM Insider Previews are still in beta, and might be causing these errors over a VM.

Unfortunately, it doesn't works. I tried Windows 10, instead of 11. It seems like it's an emulation related issue. Topic can be locked.
