There are few concerns about it especially if you are glued on a vehicle cit will count you as idle. maybe if they fix few things like these we can replace /quitjob from your idea

If a cop is idle while glued it wont count as idle cop, instead the person will count in danger level.

same for other scenarios like sitting as a passenger, I guess it also counts as idle player but actually they are not.

I think it's a pretty flawed concept. For instance a cop G'd on a car might be counted as afk but they are there the whole time, Also the people in the hospital might be there but they're just getting camped so they're not moving.

Sheriff also raises an interesting point. It would be very annoying.  Much better to improve the afk detection script and then not count them in danger level than to constantly kick people from jobs.  Especially noobs who go to the bathroom and come back and not realise they're not even cops anymore.

This would be really annoying especially for people without access to /gocop commands. Why not simply exclude afks from danger level system instead?

Okay, so I'd like to change my idea from /quitjob to, if possible, "not counting idle officers in a danger level thing". But keep a few things in mind. Glued to a vehicle, standing straight on ce and even shooting mg, and sitting as passengers all count as "Idle states" according to CIT so if this is implemented in game, keep this in mind. Cit counted these situations as idle, but they are not idle cops; they are simply standing in one position and doing their work, so make sure these things are excluded.

It seems like there is progress on the police side, and this suggestion is good, because the unaware cops and those AFKs only increase the fake Danger Level.

It makes sense to exclude AFK cops from the Danger Level calculation.  :tick:

Perhaps it's also a good idea to exclude cops that are outside of LS? I know there are some players who's simply just doing the towtruck mission as a traffic cop in SF, as well as LV players who use the cop job while turfing. They don't contribute to the activity in the field so it would make sense to exclude them as well.

Maybe exclude cops who are <2 hours as well. There are some newbies who simply run, drive, and shoot randomly who just happened to pick the cop job, not knowing what they should be attending ARs and CEs and such, but it's not always the case. Just something to think about if the calculation would be changed.

Well, that's fair. Most of the time cops are AFK The danger level is high. Although there are no active cops, and it is easy for criminals to rob AR/stores very quickly. so I'm Positive

Tuesday 26th March 2024
- Cops who are AFK for over 5 minutes will not count towards the calculation of the danger level. (Arran + Sirat + CnR Council)
