you must have the image as a .png or .jpg for it to work as a profile picture.

The link you had shown in the SS you provided had /a/ in it meaning it's incorrect as that means that the link opens up to an "album" = /a/

look sometime's imgur pictures doesn't work in forum so try to find another website that uploads pictures , take the link and paste it in forum profile if it didn't work too I guess it's from your picture resolution try to find something more fitable for the forum , not a wide huge picture .

The solution of this is:

When you upload a picture to imgur.com, you need to copy the 'adresse link' of that PIC; like this: https://imgur.com/gqyKhkj$$

It is not because of size or anything, you just need to do like what I said above otherwise it wont work for you.
