Before starting to explain, I want to start by saying that this topic is not to increase or decrease earnings from a job, and it is also not to "balance" the economy of crims/cops, like all anothers. The initial focus of all this is just the fun of being able to do stunts with aircraft again
I was talking to arran earlier today, via /sup, about the old /engine on planes, and we came to the conclusion that there is no negative effect / exploit that can be used through this.
My suggestion is simple, that we can go back to using /engine on airplanes while in the air. In which it would make its force go back to 0 (actually like turning off the engines in real life), which would cause the plane to start to fall.
For me, it was really cool to be able to "do stunts" with /engine while I'm on hydra. The stunts were much nicer, and they sure took me out of the "boredom" of having to wait for some things. The suggestion is not laborious (as many will say), and can bring back the fun for some players who like to do stunts on planes (it even helped a lot in playing with hydras in LV / crims x cops)
In case there is the possibility of exploits with this (I think it's very unlikely), we can leave it open in just SF (which would be quite fun, at least for some people).
Edit: Grammatical Correction

As long as there is no exploit made by this feature, yea why not, it wouldn't hurt anyone. Positive.

I think it would be very good :tick: positive

This is good. It will be fun. I am voting Positive :tick:

This will be quite nice to bring back as most likely no harm will be caused for this feature
Voting positive :tick:

Some players would love to make stunts using hydra by the manipulation of the engine. So, why not ?

I used to do /engine on a plane as a pilot in before.
When I'm back to the server, its removed as I don't even know the reason.

I am highly supporting this idea. I used to do the stunts using the hydra back in the old days. Consequently, why not adding it back. :tick:

They could also add a 0.1% chance the engine fails to restart and it crashes on the floor killing everyone. That'd be pretty cool and realistic.
Anyway I'm positive :tick:

It will be good to bring back /engine in SF as it would be Useful to Pilots. As said it will have no harm in SF. I am not sure about this feature in LS, But it will be definitely Useful in SF. Positive :tick:

As far as I know this would make hunting other hydras even more intense (LS), I would really like to see skybattle these days

9 positive votes. Next review will be done next week

Yea why not, actually the /engine has alot of fun :tick:

Can someone explain to me what /engine does to a plane?

I still don't understand even if I read it 5 times. How does turning off your engine make you be able to do stunts?
(not a criticism, I am genuinely clueless)
Edit: Okay thanks Nobody, :tick: I guess, if it's not exploitable (?)

This would bring its power back to 0 (currently like turning off the engines in real life), which would cause the plane to start falling. And when you turn it on again, you regain some or all of your power, and go back to flying.
This is really cool, I recommend you to try it when (if) they put it again

- Using '/engine' on a moving aircraft will turn off the engine, for stunting. (Arran + Noubody)
