this might sound dumb but I have a problem adding an avatar since there's no option to choose from gallery I tried using imgur link but nothing it's still blank. Also I want to make a status signature like lots of people have but the banner is black

Make sure you add ".png" in the imgur link. I will post a screenshot of my profile setup so you can see and hopefully make it as you wish. In signature you can use bbcode tags.
