Trucker Guide

What do you do in general?
- You pick up loads at different locations around San Andreas and deliver them to assigned locations marked on your map. Once you arrive and deliver the goods you will be paid for the delivery and acquire miles.

Where do I get the job?
- There are two locations where you can get the Trucker job. One is in Easter Basin (SF) and one is in Ocean Docks (LS).

What vehicles can I use to perform Trucker?
  • Roadtrain
Top Speed: 127KPH/79MPH (Unboosted)
Show content
  • Linerunner
Top Speed: 97KPH/60MPH
Show content
  • Tanker
Top Speed: 106KPH/66MPH
Show content
  • Packer
Top Speed: 112KPH/70MPH
Show content
  • Flatbed
Top Speed: 140KPH/87MPH
Show content

Roadtrain: The Roadtrain is the most popular of the truck choices. It has the best speed of them all (other than Flatbed, which can only be used in SF). It is used to transport box trailers around San Andreas.

Linerunner: The Linerunner is pretty simiular to the Roadtrain, only exception is the top speed is less. It also transports box trailers around SA.

Tanker: The Tanker is a slower truck compared to Roadtrain or Linerunner, but we can readily assume it carries more weight than the others. It is used to transport a fuel trailer (aka Tanker) around SA to petrol stations.

Packer: The Packer is a decent speed truck. The function of this truck is to deliver vehicles to auto dealers around SA.

Flatbed: The Flatbed (in my opinion) is the least popular truck available for use. It is used to deliver cargo locally (in San Fierro). It is the fastest truck, but the downfall is it is only used in SF.

Special Missions
- Some of the jobs you do have special missions which the difficulty can be harder or takes more time to complete. In return, you get higher pay and in some cases, more miles.

  • Timed Deliveries: Most common in Roadtrain/Linerunner and Packer, you pick up cargo and must deliver it in a certain amount of time. If you complete it successfully, your pay will be higher than a regular delivery. However, if you fail to complete it in time, you will not be able to deliver it and no pay or miles will be given.
  • Faulty Petroleum: As Tanker, your special mission deals with faulty petroleum. To begin, you are sent to a refinery that is closest to you. There are 3 refinaries. One is located near Ocean Docks in LS, across the road from one of the gas stations
    Show content
. The second one is located at Easter Bay Chemicals outside SF, located near the airport
    Show content
. The the thrid and final location is in Green Palms, located across from the Oil Turfs near LV.
    Show content
Once you arrive at the refinery, they give you a new trailer. Then they send you to the fuel station that has the faulty petroleum. Once you arrive at the fuel station, they load you up with the faulty petroleum. Next, you drive back to the refinery and unload the faulty petroleum and are loaded with quality petroleum. You finish the job by delivering the new petroleum to the fuel station. Completing it will generally give you 3x more money and miles (since you makes 3 trips). There is no time limit.

Tips
  • If you are trucking for money, I recommend Tanker. It may be slower than Roadtrain, but generally earns more than the Roadtrain/Linerunner because its missions are more miles All trucks pay same per mile. If you play for fun or relaxtion or even speed, I recommend the Roadtrain. It is faster so you can complete more deliveries.
  • On hills or slow spots on the road, using nitrous (NOS) can help boost you over them while keeping top speed (if continuous use of NOS is used)
  • Buying your own truck is beneficial. You can boost your speed, acceleration, braking with the command /boost speed/acceleration/braking. You need engine parts to do this however which you can acquire in certain jobs (at time of writing I don't know which ones) or buying them in F7 market.
  • Truckers have their own chat which mimics the CB radio. This can be used with the /r command.
  • As Trucker, you can use the current skin you are wearing, so you can use your favorite skin and not have to pick a job skin.

Trucker Ranks
- Like most other jobs, Trucker has levels which earn you more money as you level up. They area as follows:

L0 - Unlicensed Trucker-
L1 - Licensed Trucker-
L2 - Advanced Trucker
L3 - Commercial Trucker

Fisherman Guide

What do you do in General?
You drive/float in the waters around San Andreas and collect fish to sale. Once your net is full you can sell it. You earn fish and nitrous when you sell them. You can sell them both in F7 to gain cash.

Where do I get the job?
There are 2 locations in San Andreas to get the job:
Verona Beach - Los Santos
Easter Docks - San Fierro

What vehicles can I use to perform Fisherman?
The only vehicle that can be used with this job is the Reefer. It costs $200,000 at the boat shop or you can get it free at the ILC base. The spawner for it is here.

How do you do work as Fisherman?
Once you are in a reefer, move forward in the water. In a few seconds, you will see a icon in the middle bottom of your screen. If you see a fish of any kind press the "A" key or left arrow key. If it is anything else (rubbish, trash, etc), press the "D" key or right arrow. If you hit the wrong key, you will catch something that will damage your net. Damaging your net will lower the amount of cash you earn in that net.

Another important thing you will encounter is the fish population. It located at the bottom right of your screen. It should be on the top of Net Capacity text. If that number gets to 25%, you need to move your reefer or you can not catch any fish. As long as the population is 26%-100%, you can catch fish in that location. As you fish the population will decrease.

To take the farmer job, you must travel to the countryside of Los Santos (Use GPS feature in order to find the location on the map or if you want to reach the location quickly, you can use a rapid transport marker and travel to FC - Farm). There, a yellow marker will reveal itself where seeds may be bought. Plant the seeds in the designated fields using the tractor from the spawner and let them grow. After a few minutes, the crops will appear themselves as small green blips on your radar. Convert the crops to bales using the harvester available, and run over your produce to receive payment. You receive payment in terms of wheat. Sell your wheat on F7 to earn money.

If you farm on the big farm at Blueberry farm you can also get some additional hemp and herb while farming which is a key ingredient for some crafting items and can be both purchased and sold on F7.

Pilot Job Guide

Purpose of this guide:
The reason why this topic exist is to replace the old guide written by LawlietPay. Sorry if I offended you but the newbies needed a new one that contains the most up to date information. This guide also has a second part which contains some of the best tips and tricks to help you fly safer and as real as possible. If you found some mistakes and errors in this guide or have some extra tips and tricks. Please, please, please let me know. I would so damn glad to fix or add them.

Part One: The Basic

In-Game Pilot Panel Description:

In-Game F1 Panel Description:

Summary:
Your job as a pilot is to transport the imaginary passengers and cargo to various destinations in San Andreas. Depending on the aircraft type you are flying, you will be given a specific location. The payment of the pilot job varies by the rank (or level), aircraft type, destination, and either VIP or no VIP.

Job Locations:
In order to work as a pilot you need to be employed as a pilot (duh). So how do you get this job in CIT? There are three different locations for you to get the job depends on where you are:
  • If you are in Los Santos, you can just go straight to Los Santos International (aka LSA). But wait, wait, wait, don't go into the airport yet! The job location in LSA is actually outside of the airport. From the entrance, turn right and head to the control tower, and you should see the interior marker on the side of it. Right here
    Show content
  • The same in San Fierro, head to the control tower inside the airport (yeah, inside :lenny:). You should see the marker next to the KLM base. Right here
    Show content
  • In Verdant Meadows, you will have to go the office instead. And you will see a big old fat marker right in front of the desk.
    Show content
If you can't see this marker... sorry, go get another job.
Once you stepped into the marker, you will be teleported into the airport interior (pretty nice, huh?), though the Verdant Meadows Airfield doesn't have this
Show content

Then proceed to the big old fat ass marker right in front of you (hey, there's only one marker in the interior. Oh you're talking about that blue one on the other side? That's for KLM Employees only)
Show content

Once you stepped inside that marker, a GUI will appear on your screen. Just select a job skin then click on 'Have Job'
Show content

After that, you will be informed by a text appears on top of your screen saying "You are now employed as a Pilot!" (Yay!!!)
Show content

Now I am a Pilot. But how do I work? You ask. Well, go to one of those markers around the airport and spawn an aircraft. However, before you proceed to spawning one. I got something to remind you first.

Aircraft Types:
To work as a pilot, you will need to spawn an airplane. And guess what? You have a wide variety amount of aircraft to choose from. They are (ready for this?):

General Aviation

Dodo
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Good stability (behind the Beagle) and engine power making it an excellent choice for beginners.
  • It's not a fast plane but not slow, either.
  • Good glide ratio making it more reliable when out of fuel in mid-air.
  • Small wing pan, fits good for tight spaces.
  • Short takeoff distance.
  • Decent climb speed.
Disadvantages:
  • Not suitable for impatience pilots.
  • The faster it is on the ground, the more unstable it will become.

Beagle
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Excellent stability thus making the landing a lot easier.
  • Acceptable handling.
  • Short takeoff distance.
  • Fair glide ratio when out of fuel in mid-air.
Disadvantages:
  • Its engine power is insufficient for high speed flights.
  • Slow climb speed.
  • It has a long wing span making it difficult to fly in tight areas.

Stuntplane
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Its incredible maneuvering capabilities making it one of the best and most agile planes in the whole game, even better than the Hydra and Rustler.
  • Faster than the Dodo and Beagle.
  • Best aircraft for performing aerobatics.
  • Has an amazingly short takeoff distance.
Disadvantages:
  • Not much to say about its sensitive control. Not recommended for beginners. Even the professionals can be over correcting which can get worse.
  • She will stall if not careful when executing extreme tight turns due to its slow speed.
  • Landing could be a bit tricky due it being a tail-wheel plane.
  • Has a slow climb speed.
  • Poor glide ratio when out of fuel in mid-air.

Shamal
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • It has a great handling. Excellent choice for pilots who are just learning to fly jets.
  • Sufficient engine power, suitable for high speed flights.
  • Great climbing speed.
  • Excellent glide ratio when out of fuel in mid-air.
  • Able to carry an unlimited amount of passengers (yup, unlimited).
Disadvantages:
  • High fuel consumption.
  • Due to its long wing span and high speed. Extreme caution should be executed when flying in tight areas.
  • Its wings are relatively low to the ground. The pilot should pay extra care when landing, otherwise he/she can scrape one side of the wings on the runway.

Commercial

Andromada
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Excellent glide ratio when out of fuel in mid-air.
  • Excellent climb speed.
  • Sufficient engine power, excellent for high speed flights.
  • Able to carry an unlimited amount of passengers. However, it can only transport a few vehicles.
  • No questions on its popularity in parachute drop events.
Disadvantages:
  • Because of its size and speed. Landing takes some skills.
  • Once it has gained some speed on the ground, it will be hard to stop.
  • Sluggish controls.
  • High fuel consumption.

AT-400
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Sufficient engine power, excellent for high speed flights.
  • Great climb speed.
  • Excellent glide ratio when out of fuel in mid-air.
  • Able to carry an unlimited amount of passengers.
  • Slightly higher payment than the Andromada.
Disadvantages:
  • High fuel consumption.
  • When it comes to landing, this bitch is a no joke for the professionals and a disaster for amateurs. It takes some serious skills to land perfectly.
  • Sluggish response on the ground. Extra care should be taken because once she has gain the speed, it will be really hard to stop.
  • The original AT-400 has a tendency of having tail-strike on takeoff and landing unless using mods.

Helicopters

Leviathan
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Able to land on water.
  • Pretty stable.
Disadvantages:
  • Slow, sluggish, and heavy.
  • Not suitable for tight spaces.

Maverick
Show content
Show content

The Maverick in the picture above is the GTA IV Maverick mod in /vehmods

Advantages:
  • Decent speed. Good choice for transport.
  • Decent lift off speed.
Disadvantages:
  • A bit fragile. It can only take several crashes and a small amount of bullets before it begins to smoke and break down.
  • Stability is not that great.

Raindance
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Acceptable speed.
  • Good stability and handling.
  • Able to carry an unlimited amount of passengers.
Disadvantages:
  • It is slow and sluggish sometimes.

Sparrow
Show content
Show content

Advantages:
  • Although it is slower than the Maverick. The Sparrow is still fast enough for an air transport.
  • Decent stability and handling.
Disadvantages:
  • Too fragile, a few shots can drop it.
  • As a trade off for its speed, it will lose the altitude quickly.

Job Ranks:
Did you know that the Pilot job has a ranking or leveling system? Yes, it does. The ranking system is there to help determine your payments. Otherwise, the AT-400 pilot would be ragequit if he gets the payment of the Dodo, and the Dodo pilot would exploit the shit out of those AT-400 ones, ok just kidding (◔◡◔). But seriously, the ranking system helps determine your payments. The higher the rank, the more you will get paid. However, to be able to achieve the higher ranks, there are also some requirements that you need to meet before touching those big cheesy payments. Below is the list of ranks and some features for some of them plus the requirements:
  • Level 0 - Student Pilot | Required: 0 Miles.
  • Level 1 - Aviator | Required: 35 Miles.
  • Level 2 - Licensed Aviator | Required: 105 Miles.
  • Level 3 - Advanced Aviator | Required: 315 Miles. Unlock: Shamal
  • Level 4 - Flight Engineer | Required: 700 Miles.
  • Level 5 - Flight Officer | Required: 1,400 Miles. Unlocks: Andromada, AT-400
  • Level 6 - Co-Captain | Required: 2,100 Miles.
  • Level 7 - Captain | Required: 2,800 Miles.
  • Level 8 - Executive | Required: 3,500 Miles.
  • Level 9 - Chief Executive | Required: 4,200 Miles.
  • Level 10 - God Of The Skies | Required: 5,250 Miles. Unlock: /go pilot (you will be able to start working as a pilot anytime, anywhere)
Note: Did I mention the payment will vary if VIP or no VIP? I did? Ok, well if you're working as a pilot with VIP, each of your payment will be increased by 20% regardless of rank, aircraft type and destination. So if you're an L10 pilot, flying AT-400 to a long destination, and now with VIP :lenny:

Job Procedures:
Ok, enough theories. Let's get to the action!

So in order to spawn an airplane, head to one of those hangars and you will a marker in front of them. Step in the marker, and a GUI will appear for you to choose an aircraft.
Show content

After you've picked an aircraft and spawned. Look up on the top of your screen. There will be a text telling you to pickup either passengers or cargo.
Show content

Now look on your minimap, do you see this sucker? Follow it until you see the big old fat marker. That's for you to pickup the niggas, I mean the passengers.

Now, except for the AT-400, Andromada and Shamal. When picking up the passengers, your screen will fade to black then back again. Indicates that your passengers have boarded. Now look up on top of your screen again, you have been given a destination.
Show content

Again, follow this sucker on your minimap until you reached your destination. After you have landed, just taxi to the marker and receive your payment. Congratulations! You have completed your first flight in CIT. Oh wait a minute, I am being asked to pickup another passenger. That's right! After you have completed the previous flight, you will be asked to pickup another passenger for the next flight. This process will continue on until you leave your aircraft.

Oh, one more thing: Anytime you receive an "Undesignated Landing Area" (for Dodo, Beagle, and Stuntplane only)
Show content

Before you takeoff, open your F11 map and check to see where that sucker is. Don't worry too much about it, all it is is just a destination outside of those boring airports (yup, time for some adventures!). Those destinations will only be at one of those domestic locations listed below for general aviation with a spoiler next to it. Check them out!

Alright folks, that's it for part one! I hope the information helps you a lot especially for newbies and beginners. You may have noticed that I didn't list the locations of the vehicle spawners. Well, in that case, you have to find out yourself, it's really easy. In case you are still interested, feel free to dig into the part two of this guide which is still in the progress because it is really long and requires a lot of brains to understand :lenny:. Nah, just kidding, it's not that hard.

You can use any vehicle to do Lumberjack, whether car, truck, plane, or helicopter. The job has a vehicle spawner that will give you a DFT-30 which is optional to use. I personally prefer helicopter as it can travel more ground faster than a car.

How do I work as Lumberjack?
Once you recieve the job, you will get a Skin and you will get your first set of trees with this blip. You drive/fly to this blip which will take you to a set of trees (usually 15-20) and you start. You are auto-equipped with a chainsaw. Using the chainsaw, left click and hold to use the chainsaw and touch the trees for a few seconds to cut (the trees are marked on mini-map as bright red blips). Then, move on to the other trees until all are cut. You will know you finished that set when a new red blip appears and you are paid. After you finish you drive/fly to next set and repeat.

Tips:
• Using a flying vehicle will make transportation to next set of trees faster.

Firefighting Guide
===========

(I know there's other firefighting guides - but I wanted to take my own crack at one.  (◔◡◔) I believe this extra detail is worth it, but if any moderators disagree, you can delete this thread and I won't make a fuss about it.)

About
=======

The Responsibilities: In this job, you are tasked with traveling to the location of a fire and put out individual flames with your fire extinguisher. Each flame you put out earns you money.

The Reason: I consider this job special for two reasons. One, you aren't just driving from circular node to circular node like so many other jobs do - you actually see the flames and watch them disappear as you put them out. This helps make it feel more "real". Two, it's not a solo job like most other jobs. The fire you help put out is the same fire for all other firefighters, and the more firefighters present, the quicker it will be put out. This helps you feel more involved and less alone when working to earn money.

The Requirements: You get an extinguisher when taking the job. You can travel to the fires with any vehicle you own. Nothing else is needed.

How to be a Firefighter:
===============

1) Go to the fire station in San Fierro. Use /gps if you're having trouble locating it.
Show content

2) Go to the orange node on the left to accept the job. Choose the skin you want. (I personally like the third one since it's labelled as San Fierro Fire Department, and most of the fires are in San Fierro, so it makes sense.)

3) If you need a vehicle, go to the green node and buy a Firetruck - they're very cheap at $5,000. Additionally, you can recover your Firetruck to you at any time without VIP if you are a firefighter. This is especially useful if you're not VIP and you get stranded. Do keep in mind, however, that you cannot drive the Firetruck when you're not a firefighter.
Show content

4) Drive to the location of the current fire. This is shown on your radar as a bright red, tall, rectangular blip.

5) Approach a flame with your extinguisher equipped and click once. If you do this correctly, you will spurt a single "ammo" of extinguisher and freeze in place for a few seconds, followed by the flame disappearing and a success tone sounding.

6) Repeat step 5 until the fire is put out, and wait for the next fire to be announced. Once it is, travel there and continue as before. You will earn money per flame put out - thus your financial gain is based on your own performance, not all firefighters as a whole.

FAQ / Common Mistakes
=====================

I'm spraying the fire a bunch but it won't go out?!?!
This is by far the most common mistake I see with new firefighters.
Do not click and hold the shoot command when using the extinguisher. Instead, stand near the flame and click once, as mentioned in the instructions above. Yes,  it looks silly for you to spray a tiny bit, stand motionless for a few seconds, and then the flame vanishes - but that's just how the script works.

Can I use the Firetruck's nozzle to put out fires?
As cool as that would be.... no. It might be added in a future update, but for now, the Firetruck is good for transportation only.

I put out a flame but didn't get any cash!
Since you'll be putting out flames rather quickly, the server doesn't report income every single time you put out a flame. Instead, it tallies your flames put out every five seconds or so and credits the amount, which you'll see in the bottom right. So for example, if your current level gives you $300 per flame, and you put out five flames in that timespan, you'll see an income of $1,500 in the bottom right of your screen.

Should I help my fellow firefighters by putting out fires alongside them?
I don't recommend this, because if two firefighters try to put out the same flame, the faster one will get the credit while the slower one gets nothing. For this reason, I prefer to stay a short distance away from the others so every flame I choose will be put out by me.

Why aren't the other firefighters using Firetrucks?
While using them is more realistic and fun, a lot of players will opt to use something faster, like cars or helicopters or even Jets. This is mainly because the fire is active and ready to be put out the moment its location is revealed, so the sooner you get there, the more fires you can put out before it's moving location again.

Wait, that's not fair! How can I put out fires if I can't buy an expensive car or jet?
It's a flaw of the job, unfortunately. In the future there might be a change to nullify this issue, but until you can get a fast vehicle, I recommend asking if you can ride with another firefighter. (I personally am always willing to give firefighters rides with my Maverick or Raindance helicopters.)
Show content

So should I get a fast vehicle?
Depends. If you are all about the money earning, then it might be a good idea. But there's merit in having fun with the job by legitimately driving a firetruck too.

Miscellaneous Tips
============

Take the online course! It's not an expensive investment in the long run, because passing this course allows you to put out fires at a much faster rate, and saves you lots of time (and thus money). You can access the course by pressing X, clicking yourself, and choosing the Online Courses option.
Show content

Entertain yourself. While it's more interactive than other jobs on the server, it still can get monotonous pretty fast, especially if there are no other firefighters helping you. Put on some music or radio, or a video to watch on another screen while you work. If you want to feel like a proper firefighter, use a Firetruck - and use the H key when driving to sound your sirens if you want to.

Lock or despawn your vehicle when firefighting. Yep, there will be morons trying to jack your ride when you're not looking, especially if it's expensive. Sometimes they'll wreck it and force you to repair it. If you give other firefighters rides, make sure to lock the vehicle or despawn it once you arrive - or pay attention to the notification at the top of the screen that alerts you when someone enters your vehicle so you can hide it. (If you're VIP, this isn't a big issue, since you can recover your vehicle to you.)

For optimal arrival speed, gravitate towards the center of San Fierro between fires. There are fire locations in several out-of-city locations from San Fierro, but generally most of the fires will be in the city itself. So when you finish putting out a fire outside of the city, head back towards San Fierro as you wait for the next fire. In most cases, this will put you closer to it before it's announced. It can also help kill time as you wait for the fire location to appear.

Have fun with your fellow firefighters! Or at the very least, try talking with them. The job becomes much less boring when you're riding together between fires and having a good conversation in the process of firefighting.

The Most Obvious Question: How do I get to Outer Space?
Well, you wonder why did I make a special question for this. Because it has a special answer.
Below, there are 6 easy steps to get to Outer Space. First make sure you have the job (located near the launch pad @ Bayside Marina)

Step 1: Make sure that you: have got VIP hours, have passed Space Suit course and have got enough resources to craft Space Rocket. (DO NOT CRAFT SPACE ROCKET YET)

Step 2: Go to "Sherman Dam" by your vehicle. Use /gps to mark it. (DO NOT CRAFT SPACE ROCKET YET)

Step 3: Don't move from your place. Wear the Space Suit(command: /spacesuit). (DO NOT CRAFT SPACE ROCKET YET)

Step 4: Craft Space Rocket. While you are inside it, get the jetpack(command: /jetpack).

Step 5: After some minutes, your rocket will disappear. Quick, open F11 and look for the nearest job to you(it is Space Miner job). Use the jetpack to fly to the asteroid(you will find it on your way to the Space Miner job in F11.

Step 6: Once you land on the asteroid, move around and do the job. Well done!

Tips:
• Passing Minerals course will give you 10% more Iron while doing the Iron Miner job.
• Once you craft Space Rocket it will fly and take you up, so better follow steps and don't pass any one of them else you will not continue to the Outer Space.
• You won't survive in Outer Space without using Space Suit, so make sure that you have passed the Space Suit course using /shit, and you are wearing it already.
• If you are confused in Cave Miner job, you can use the UAV(/uav) after passing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle course using /shit, then search for the marker until you find it.
