Title: Car Shader's quality becomes low.
Post by: Spider on 26 06, 2020, 02:58:45 pm
Well the day before yesterday I'd requested a car shader. Once my shader got added I tested it but its quality was low, even though it was HD for others. I've tried to re-install CIT Resources and when I did that, I saw everything was okay till "all CIT files" got downloaded. I wonder how can I fix this problem? When I log into server my shader becomes HD for some milli-seconds and it gets back to its low quality mode. First I thought it could be fixed by Brian, but however, it's not his problem as everyone else can see my shader normally without any quality issue.

The original shader must look like this - https://i.imgur.com/Bd4h5fS.png
But it looks like this - https://i.imgur.com/6dlIfXO.png

UPDATE: Well I tried to re-install CIT resources again and I managed to know when it gets low quality. Whenever I take staff job by using /staff command (After re-installing CIT Resources) I get "Loading data: X" (https://imgur.com/a/9PcwmWT) message at the bottom right of my window screen. And immediately after the load completes, my shader's quality becomes lower.

UPDATE 2: After testing all shaders with my friend, I've realized that all shaders IG is in low quality for me.
Look how does shader look like for me (https://i.imgur.com/kMFpDd4.png) and for Otto (https://i.imgur.com/Gzk0WG0.png).

First of all, greetings, we talked about this problem in the game, and I understand that you are quite uncomfortable because of this problem, which I think you are right. I've done some research, and I'd like to give you some advice.

You have to make sure you maximize the texture settings in the game. Then I'll give you this (https://gamemodding.com/en/gta-san-andreas/graphic/textures/) link to download a few texture package that you can use in the game.

After editing the graphics settings from /settings, you can download a few graphics modes and play the game in a more realistic way. You can also access graphic modes from this (https://gamemodding.com/en/gta-san-andreas/packs/graphic/) link.

Also make sure that update your graphic drivers. I'll give you a few links to update the graphics drivers for all known models and brands. I don't know which one you prefer, so I'll share most of it here.

Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics)
Nvidia (https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us)
AMD (https://www.amd.com/en/graphics/radeon-rx-graphics)

I don't know what my graphic drivers have to do with this case? As I stated in my first reply I can see my shader in HD Quality after re-installing CIT resources till I get my staff job and load other datas. I don't want to download any other extra files to fix this problem. IMO we can fix it by altering some files in CIT resources as it gets HD quality when I re-install it.

I can only think of one way to solve this problem.
First of all, don't test those shaders in CIT where you use the /staff command, test them in the "Map Editor". I have experienced low quality shaders in CIT too, however they look HD in the Map Editor.

Yes exactly. Before requesting my shader I have tested it in MAP editor and it was HD there. But shaders in CIT has low quality for only me

Have you modified your GTA SA in any way? If so, what mods?

Seems like you have a rendering issue.

Locate the local folder of every vehicle shader in CIT (default path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas 1.5\mods\deathmatch\priv\53B4C5\CITvehSkins\vehjpg), then delete all files inside of it. This will delete every shader currently downloaded on your PC, so when you reconnect it'll be downloaded again.

I'm not sure if this will solve the issue but try nonetheless.

Waste of time. He clearly has a bugged video driver (update all of them) or he fucked up vehicle.txd inside GTA's folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\...\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\models\generic), especially vehicleenvmap128 (https://iili.io/JmEirv.png) texture.

Yeah I might have changed something in vehicle.txd once as I was trying to learn how to design shaders with txdworkshop. How can I fix this problem? Is there any way to find the original txd files?

I think if I had some video driver problems then I wouldnt be able to see hd shader right? But I can see it in HD quality in host server and even in CIT after re-installing CIT Resources.

Uhhh is it for infernus? I have this problem with every single shader in game not just with infernus.

Have you tried to re-install MTA ?

Download this (https://gofile.io/d/ewEyxd), then replace it under GTA San Andreas\models\generic. It's a clean copy of vehicle.txd, un-edited.

Have you tried to re-install MTA ?

That won't fix it.

Thank you re-placing this original vehicle.txd fixed everything and now my shader is full HD.

Thank you everyone who tried to help me.
