Ability to give yourself up to the police

It happened again that I had a high WL and respawned in SF and no cop was even close.

I ended up waiting almost 30 minutes to lose all my stars which was just plain annoying. I can only get rid of 1 star using /fine..

So I suggest that you can do something ingame which you can do IRL: Give yourself up to the police. In real life, when you do this, you just go to the next police department or cop and report yourself and get arrested and face your fate. Ingame this should be do-able by a command because calling cops to you will often result in noone coming because cops think you will just kill them or you're trolling or it's not worth coming all the way.

So by doing /giveup or something similar, the most nearby cop would get the arrest and you would go to jail... And unlike when you reconnect it will only check for cops in a smaller radius to determine whether you should get "player quit"-arrested or not, in this case it will use a much larger radius and just use the nearest cop.

Additionally, because this is a method of getting rid of your stars, you would have to pay extra, something like 1000$ (or whatever) per star, so if you give up to the police with 15 stars, you would pay $15000 and then go to jail regularly, the nearest cop will get the arrest.

1) This would only work when no cop is close to you so people can NOT do this while cops are after them to prevent trolling
2) This would only work a max. of 3 times per 24 hours so people don't always use it

If you have a high WL, you can just call a cop and then type /surrender. A cop should come if you have a 4+ WL. When I had 5 or 6 stars AF's were hunting me with rustlers on the sea.
And who will take your arrest points? No one?
From this point of view it's abbusable as well.

Reconnect only works if a cop is near you.

No. If you /kill it will take 30 seconds and you will just respawn at the hospital and there will still not be a cop in most hospitals for a long time usually.

I said reconnecting also only helps if a cop is nearby.

No. I said that when you call a cop they usually don't come. Even at a higher WL.

I kinda like this suggestion.
But maybe the only thing that will make me down vote this suggestion is the command.

I think it would be more nice if the criminal has to go by himself to any Police Department, because simply in real life you can't go in the jail with commend

I'll upvote it if that's how it will be; in order to turn yourself in, you must get inside the police department's/sheriff's office's interior and go into a marker and that will take you directly to jail and maybe adding a 15% time off would be good, since you turned yourself in and you weren't chased or anything, just like real life I guess?
but having commands will turn it into an abuse-able script, however I'm neutral for now.

I think a good idea to be moer realistic would be to make it so you have to drive to any police station and go in it . As soon as you get in there wanted you would be automaticly arrested.

Okay some questions.
- The cop will get everything frol the arrest like the arrest points, arrest, money?
- I would like to remove the part of getting money from giving up, some cops will just stand at the police station, while criminals enter there because they give up. (Like United said)
- You were standing in SF near the beach. Beach->water. You could have done easily suicide and not get teleported back.

yea I guess we can use current /surrender cmd   so there is no need to make a new cmd  for it as  we already have it
