CIT will be having a film competition, best film wins of course. The film should be in MTA:SA and about anything worth watching, preferably action and be uploaded to youtube. It doesn't have to be filmed on our server, you will probably be best using local servers.
YOU WILL NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE if you want to win. So form your group wisely.
Anybody can enter and the winners will be the 3 most awesome entries.
1st Place Prize:

That will be awesome, CITizens will enjoy doing such projects and it will maximize the challenge spirit between production teams and will force each team to work harder and trying to be more and more creative. Not only having that extraordinary fun, but also getting a heck if a prize to share upon the team. That idea is just amusing.

Genre "Action" - will come down? Idea of the film is to be unique? For my team would be happy to film directly on the server.
What do you mean by "will come down?" The film doesn't have to be unique because you could copy a real life film and use that story.

Yes, it doesn't have to be recorded on the CIT server, but I guess you shouldn't show any features not featured in the CIT server itself as that would be misleading. It's after all a CIT promotional video.

As I said it starting piss me off, how I can prove when I deleted all sounds/veg/frapsed moments after every movie, because my desktop is alot with junk, so I delete all files that is currently on desktop.

It wasn't filmed in MTA, and even if it was then it doesn't look anything like it, they're just bots. There was no MULTI Theft Auto in that video.

I'd say yes, considering the confusion movie was declined because there wasn't any multiplayer action going on.

This is my entry for the film competition. I hope you like it.
Description:
This film is about a group called "Seekers". Seekers is a group that contains people that are dedicated to educating new players that join CIT. We will provide them knowledge that would lead them from being hobos to millionaires. We would also train them to be disciplined and teach them to play by the rules of CIT so that they end up in official groups such as ArmedForces (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=134.0), SWAT (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=34.0),FBI (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=236.0),SAPD (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=144.0),Camorra (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=122.0), HoBoS (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=48.0), and NorthSideMafia (http://cit2.net/forum/index.php?board=195.0).
We don't have a sub board yet, because this group is only 2 and a half weeks old. It was created in October 9 2012. We recruit new players because most of them need a helping hand on things such as making money. Some of them know how to use support chat, but most of them don't. Most of them try to learn things on their own. But somehow they either end up getting jailed by a staff for deathmatching or doing other stupid things.... so I thought I might as well start a group that are filled with new players so that they wouldn't feel so alone and also to teach them some important things about the server, such as "No Deathmatching in LS and SF".

I need help with the CIT commands for film making....
so I have:
/showchat -- to disable chat
/showhud -- to disable the hud
/togglecustomblips -- to disable the blips such as group blips...
then I need something to disable the name from showing....
The name sort of gets in the way....

When I record with camtasia, my game minimises, which is really bad when everyone is already doing their thing, and when I minimise it, it makes my computer lag.
Also, the group blip showed because I didn't disable the custom blips by doing /togglecustomblips. I need to know how they disabled the names of other players from showing in your video.
I was worried about two things when creating my film, 1 are those pop ups that come up. Things such as the message "press f1 to view server documents" or "this person requires police assistance at this area". It gets in the way and it randomly pops up. I tried to find a disable button in the CIT phone, but unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that would disable that.... I noticed that it was evident in some of the videos that were filmed in CIT, so I think it was fine....
2nd problem are those names.... I noticed that in the HoBoS video, they were able to zoom in their characters by using mescaline without the player's names showing. I asked in support chat earlier on how to disable the player's names from showing in game, and they came up with /showname 0(which didn't work) and checking the MTA settings, if there was anything that could disable it.... Unfortunately, I couldn't find it, and nobody helped me in support.... so I thought I might as well ask here....
What is the command to disable the player's names from showing?

I noticed in your old video in the old film competition "MTA -- Clowns Attack", somewhere in the last scene where you flying a stuntplane in LV, with about 6 people glued on the wings, firing RPGs and minigun at everyone, when you enabled the chat, the player's names showed up. /showchat doesn't disable the player's names from showing....
If you can't remember the video, here's the video that Dennis showed so that people can get ideas from it. Watch it and look closely at the end bit where you were on a stunt plane.... You enabled the chat, and the player's names showed up.

Some of the time it is bots and some of the time it is an actual shot of the actor walking. The base game is GTA SA, but it's using DYOM (Design Your Own Mission) and the mission is being used in MTA SA. And then Edited in Sony Vegas Pro 10.
As for the story being boring? I understand the story may not appeal to everyone, but this is just a fun competition, and when I make films I try to stand out from the crowd and not just make a film like everyone else (Cops vs crims). I wanted to add a story to the film... The story of a guy who's elderly mother was jumped and beat up...
Sure it's a tad risque, but that's what makes for good films.
Anyways, if you have a problem with it being in DYOM and played back in MTASA, I could always just try to re-make the film.. however I don't have a server to run it on so it would be a bit lesser "neat" looking, because I'd need to film it on CIT.
However, thanks for your opinion, and it's dearly noted.

I use windows movie maker with full version fraps(you must need full version because trial version has "fraps.com" written on top of the videos... Windows movie maker lacks a lot of things I need such as pan and zooms. I need mescaline or the normal camera to do those things.....

Blenders video shows something that isnt realy by MTA. If you clearly see when he gets into the car, the door shuts by itself fast. Try that in MTA, That wont work.

Yeah umm, you're gonna get banned from the forum for competition fraud. You can absolutely tell that wasn't made in MTA SA by looking at the synchronization especially the car doors and as others have said there is no MTA watermark and the movement animations too. So as well as lying about it being made in MTA SA you're also lying about making it because obviously you just found a video from youtube and claimed it as your own.

So you laughed because I said the truth?, please everyone check his video at 0:23 till its 0:27 and see how the door itself closes, you'll see the diffrence that MTA has, this is totally Maded in SAMP or as Arran said, it has been stealed. I also remember SAMP's Sync, and this door close was never fixed, Mta has his own diffrent Sync, so i could tell by that, that it has been recorded in samp or stold.

Tried? No. Succeeded? Definitely. Story line is rock solid until the trucker crashes at the end. Music cannot be contended with for the value of in-game radio coverage. I didn't see any rule about not displaying the chatlog. I agree that I need to take better care of the video, and for sure need a new recorder. I don't know if you find this game fun any longer or if it is just one big number crunch to you, but if anyone is up for a late night session, I am in to make some recreations of the films linked below ported to MTA.
It kind of undermines the spirit of releasing a film for the competition as it gives away the idea ahead of time, but these scenes are incredible and would be fun to make all video game like.

yeah its up to admins to ask for the proofs ...but since u showed the SS ...i have to say it only proves that u putted words in the video...does not mean you have done the efects or the footage of the car...but it not up to me to ask for that... about others come here to say bad things...well see the 12 pages before and find ppl who have lied , copied from others work and ....why? cause of the money? perhaps the conditions to win should force people to deliever the source project ...with the efects and videos used in the footage

I cannot understand why people should copy others work to win..how should it feel if you win something with something that you did not do or with somebody else work?
And the others who have wasted probably, more then 50 hours making their own footage , effects , audio , human resources like actors...re-doing it cause of fails, etc....

Well although I have started really late with my friends making the movie and I think its unfair for others to have time to make a video from scratch since others may have presented the movie having to rush things up...so anyway I just want to say ,or it stays has it is...or it has a max 2 days ...or if arran thinks there might be not enough quality ...make 3 weeks delay so everyone can create from scratch a quality movie...i know this topic is for a long time in here and it had already a delay...either people dont come to forum or its not well advertised.

Adding 100% watermark is almost impossible.
Sync in MTA and SA-MP is totally different. When someone enters the vechicle, I can say it was in SAMP or MTA.

Here's my video entry for the competition. I'm not that good at editing or video making.... It's not as good as the other videos and I rushed it today... so it's a bit crudely made.... I do hope you like it....
Description of the film:
So... this film is just about me, and my life in CIT. This is how I started as a player in this server. I was murdered by another player, and I swore to hunt him down. Unfortunately, I can't find him anywhere and ended up arming myself to defend myself when it happens next time.
I didn't know anything about the server... and this is my first time playing GTA San Andreas. I didn't know how to drive back then. Then a friendly player showed me around and showed me the basics of the game and the server....
Note: This was re-inacted by me and my friend. 2 hours of gameplay compressed into 6 minutes of film. Enjoy the movie.
