You can now buy custom clothes for CJ at the clothes shop. Custom means that a member of the community modified the appearance of an existing clothing item, they submit it to us and then using the script I just made, accessible ingame. When you buy a custom clothing item, 100% of the cost goes into the bank account of the designer.
We need you to make some custom clothing items! We can modify everything but the tattoos. This works the same way as the alternate skin system meaning that we can add infinite clothing items, it does take some time though.

1. Download and extract TXD Workshop: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/download.php?f=27168 (http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/download.php?f=27168)
2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\models and copy player.img to your desktop or wherever you want (You don't have to copy it but it helps in case you break the file)
3. Open txdworkshop.exe then click "Open IMG" and select the player.img you copied. If you get an error when trying to open the file, try run txdworkshop as administrator.
4. Find the clothing item you want to modify: http://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/CJ_Clothes (http://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/CJ_Clothes) and make note of it's texture name and model name (eg: "Texture: vestblack Model: vest")
5. If you managed to open player.img correctly a list of .dff and .txd files will have appeared in the column on the left in the txdworkshop. Go past the .dff and if your texture was "vestblack" click on any of the files and press "v" so that it goes to the file beginning with "v".
6. Once you've found it, you'll see that it's just 1 image although in the game it's not flat. The texture is applied to the model in the game to make it shaped. Click "export" then click "PNG" and save it some where. Tip: save 2 copies, so you can see how it originally looks and go back to it if you mess it up.
7. Now open the PNG file that you saved and modify it however you want. When saving it DO NOT SAVE IN HIGH QUALITY, the maximum size it should be is 260kb. (Remember that 10,000's of players have to download it)
8. To make sure it worked you should then click "import" and select the file, click "save TXD" now I'm not actually sure since I haven't done this and I'm just guessing that player.img has now been modified so if you backup your player.img and then put this player.img in your GTA installation start the game and see if it was modified. It is strongly recommended that you check to make sure it worked as you will most certainly go wrong at some point. If you submit a fail to us we will get really angry and your work won't get added.
9. Make sure you've got: texture name, model name, what body part it replaces (eg Shirt) and your ingame account name (cAsE SeNsItIve) to receive money when people buy your clothing item.

1. You make the skin with the tools provided, TXD workshop and an imaging editing software ( gimp, Photoshop etc ). You make the new re-coloured clothes etc and save it as described, then you test it in your own game to see if it works and if it's any good. When it's good and working, save it somewhere for the future ( for when players can finally add their txd's ).
2. No, you make the clothes, it's not difficult.
3. Plenty of tutorials on YT or Google, search '' making custom clothes / skins in GTA SA '' or something.
Make the clothes, save it and test it, when it works, save it in a folder so you don't forget it. When Brian finally knows how to add skins, afaik we'll be able to submit skins aswell, thus adding player skins.

Yes, but if your shirt doesn't have the arms and the fist, etc etc then it won't work as Arran and Brian were trying to get them to work yesterday.

how to make a shirts from photos at internet.
1. get Photofiltre is totaly free and no trial everything is free. don't remember the link but it was non pirat.

3. use the TXD workshop to get the picture and export it 2 times one that you edit and one that you remake.
4. open the file with photofiltre and just make it the video on step 2 shows how to use poygon.
5. just go to TXD and import the file you made and press save TXD.
6. done go to the game and see how it's looks
7. have same problem the arms are white and sometimes black

And AVG sucks, when I uninstalled it, it didn't remove it's stupid network component which caused my internet to be broken until I finally figured out that it was AVG's fault.
If it was a virus, I wouldn't be linking to it (unless of course they changed the file into a virus in the past few days which is extremely unlikely)
Edit: Try again as I've changed the download link to a newer version of it.

If you want a quick fix, just use a smart-eraser to remove the black area, this will show the usual CJ skin colour. Remember to save it in .png to keep the transparency.

I found a logic reason and tried, the problem is because you're extracting the clothe file with .BMP might you've saved as .png but you edited a .bmp image, so it's why the arms and the neck change their color to white/black while it's necesary to be extracted with .PNG for edit it correctly and works well.

Paint doesn't add the transparency so I would recommend you using gimp (Which is a free program) or using Photoshop.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there are some txd which doesn't include hands. If it doesn't have any hands in there when you export from txdworkshop, then you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Then they should clearly state that it is NOT their work and therefore the money should go into my account instead. (The script requires somebody takes the money else it gets angry)

I already did this once. Work was pretty good, but taken from a modding site. Money will go to acc:Arran.

You can use Paint do it in there and when you are saving it do Save As and once you are saving it under the name you will have an option what to save it as and click PNG and it will be saved as PNG.

A lot of people already do have mods that make things look different but when a clothing item is added to our shop the whole server will see it rather than just you.

You removed the transparency of the image probably.

I'm assuming you edited the image with paint (Cause paint doesn't add transparency on the image)

If you are editing like a shirt t-shirt shorts etc. Try to find the ones that in the PNG picture it has the body parts (arms, hands) and even if its white just change the color thats what I did and the arms are the right color IG.

Download TXD 2012, That is what I use because When I try a next one it says the same thing.
i already tried both TXD 2012 but they both say the same thing.... I havent tried the others cause their OLD....

Just keep on downloading the dll files from the link I gave you. Before I got a game and I was missing like 10 of them but then I just kept downloading the and it worked. But instead of wasting your time doing that just re-instal your GTA.

I made a shirt like 2 days ago: http://i.imgur.com/jc3wHUJ.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/jc3wHUJ.jpg) (edited now) and it seems it was rejected. I just want to know why.. I saw the spongebob or the pikachu shirts, and they are full yellow shirts with their faces copied.. Its my work so bad? I was like 4 hours working on that shirt. Its 100% made by me, I didnt copy & paste any image. I mean I worked a lot on that shirt its just not fair. At least say me what is wrong with it for make it better and be accepted like a full yellow pikachu and copy & paste shirts...

I'm glad to see your work for CIT, you did a great job. It's great, that anyone can buy custom clothes. I've seen before, that too many people use CJ skin. As for me, it's very interesting thing to make clothes. I see, that people make clothes, and it's great.
Also, I've watched your video, it explains your work on this. I hope, I'll see many clothes in the future.

When I make the clothing, I add them back into TXD workshop, everything works fine, when I go on GTA:SA it works fine, but my neck/arms are completely black. How do I solve this?

Files that have a .DFF extension are usually animation files. The best way to open a .dff file is just to double click and let the default associated application open it. If you can't open the file, reason maybe that you don't have the necessary requisite application to open, view or edit the .dff file.
