Title: Using the old F11 map

So, after I made the poll (http://cit.gg/forum/index.php?topic=17821.0) in the democracy board and Arran has answered I know that the new map is client-side, not server-side.
That means, if you prefer the old F11 map, you can replace a .jpeg file in your MTA directory to get the old map back.

I decided to make a small tutorial for that:


And that's it already. In case you do not have MTA 1.1 installed anymore, go here (http://www.myepsilon.org/maps/gtasa_empty_map.jpg) and download the radar file (rename the file to 'radar.jpg' first).

NOTE: You can also use an alternate version of the new radar which was modified really well. You can now see the roads much better and it's still HD. Get it here (http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1197/radaroe.jpg) (You will have to rename the file to "radar.jpg").

It's nice that you wrote this but you should have given us at least a screen shot of what it looks like because we'd like to see what we're dealing with before actually applying it. Thanks in advance.

You've got your "screenshots" right there: the current F11 map and the one you can download here, just that you have a 100% map opacity. You need to try it yourself with your own map opacity settings, that's the best way you can see the difference.

It's a very old poll that was removed already along with all other polls from the old Democracy board.

I dont do this to get some posts and can some body put video (what's mean of) replace map.jpeg and copy map.jpeg plz some body do video

Just Download the new map (radar.jpg) copy and past it here : C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas 1.3\MTA\cgui\images  , they will ask u to replace the file press replace that's all .

Replace the image of your map here: C:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas 1.3\MTA\cgui\images

You need to rename it radar.jpg before you post it . Try again

. Yes you can use different radars . You can also download NATO map its totally different you can find NATO map link at any official law group board
Or you can use this old one .
You have to rename the radar name radar.jpg to make it work correctly

That is the steps right? I am doing it but I don't have cgui folder in my MTA folder can anyone give me a copy of MTA folder?

Yes you can use anything you want for the map. Doesn't matter if it's a picture of a map or a picture of a nude man/woman, everything works.

The link of the poll is not working I guess , It should be removed I think as currently gives eror 404 - File or directory not found.

You also have a tutorial here (http://cit.gg/index.php?topic=18557.0#post_nato) and some radar's wih NATO Map installed (useful for cops). Doesn't matter, the poll is completely unimportant anyway.

It's working fine I just tested it just  make sure you exactly did what was said which is this

and you download* this image (http://www.myepsilon.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/gta-san-andreas-map-empty-1024x1024.jpg) then rename the image to radar then restart MTA it's not so hard.... even Amazonic said it in a simple way if you still don't get it then you are post farming...

Find one you like, and save the image only.

Then follow the steps on the first pst to install it
