It's ironic that you created this topic after Are cop players Psychopaths?

But yea I like those examples. They perfectly demonstrate different perspectives.

Just think that there are people on North Sentinel Island who don't know ANYTHING about the world outside their village/island and are still happy and some still sad imagine one of them went to get fish to cook / fry for his family and there was a storm at sea and he couldn't catch any fish and he gets home and one of his sons is fighting with his sister or even if there is no money there maybe they barter stuff they will still not be happy maybe the wife is bored or tired so anywhere in the world it is about perspective like when you log in to CIT and sometimes you takeover LS and sometimes you can't because other groups turfing and you can be happy or sad you have to see the world in many perspective and find your own happiness and that is where the challenge is because everyday is a new day so many moving parts to this machine and some things unite us and some things divide us so I tell everyone to put on a smile even if your day is going bad because at the end of the day you will realize everyone is going through stuff in their lives and we are all here for each other and even though CIT is an online world / community it still has REAL people and look at this picture... I was tired from work, logged in to CIT and we had a party together all united as one...

Example 2 is... debatable. Although the point you made is true, you still have to be cautious because, why are they a single mother? You need to know the answer to that question.

Example 1 is perfect, can't argue with that. I'd go even further to say that anyone who can even read this message right now means that many people are much poorer than them. All those people that live where there's no internet and no computers. You could be poor but if you have access to the internet at a decent speed on a decent device you have access to more information, more entertainment and more communication than a king did 100 years ago.

General Guides / Re: Cleaning Up Storage & Useless Files
« Last post by Clark on 13 05, 2024, 07:19:10 am »
I believe it's easier just to search 'Delete temporary files' on the start menu, which will open window where you can select which type of files to delete and it will automatically search for useless files and also Windows update files which can take up A LOT of space.
you can also use Disk Cleanup to free up some space :o7:

Whoever comes across this topic, I approve both of these ways that Cerb and Thund3r have shared, I would recommend following these two's advice on freeing up space as well! Thank you both.

Building on some earlier posts I made, I wanted to expand upon my argument that everything is about perspective, and that most things aren't objectively good or bad. Once we realise this and cognitively reframe we can avoid a great deal of unhappiness. I'll give two examples of what I mean.

Example 1: You live in the UK and you earn the national minimum wage (about 11 pounds per hour). If you compare yourself to other people in the UK you might end up in despair that you earn such a small amount compared to others, however if you reframe you will see that you are earning more than the majority of people in the world. What reason then do you have for sadness? Should All the other people in the world be depressed because they earn less than you?

Example 2: Single mothers are pretty universally regarded as being less desirable by men than women without children when it comes to dating, however, consider a man who doesn't have any family or responsibilities of his own. He may well experience loneliness. Being able to marry a woman who already has some children may well provide him with exactly the family and structure he is looking for and bring him happiness and the family structure he needs in his life. Think then what a tragedy it would be if he were to pass up on this potential happiness because he's been socialised to think single mothers are undesirable.

We see in both of these cases, the material facts didn't change. All we changed is the framing perspective to see something positively that we saw negatively before. I believe by reframing in this way we can make ourselves more happy.

General Guides / Cleaning Up Storage & Useless Files

I feel like I am spamming this board but every time I am writing up one thing another thing comes to mind that can help someone in the community.

This one is a short one, and is the simplest out of all the tutorials I have ever made. These files we are about to clean up are useless and pointless. They take up space on your storage and cause stutters and lag. For some of you it will make a significant difference since you might have not cleaned them out at all throughout years and years of using your PC because we think oh if we throw this shit into recycle bin and then clear the recycle bin it will all get deleted, but no.

So head over to your task bar and click the windows button. Or you can also click the Windows button on your keyboard. When it pops up search for "Run". Open it up.
Show content

Then a little box will come up like this, you want to type in exactly "%temp%" and hit OK.
Show content

You will be redirected to a folder located God knows where in your computer. This folder hold temporary files in your PC, which are of no use to any of you. So press on the very first file that pops up in that folder and press CNTRL + A , it will select all of the files and just right click delete it.

Don't forget to clean out your recycle bin right after you delete all these files or else this will all be useless! Some of your files will date back years and years so you wanna make sure to clean these up once a month or twice a month depending how much you use your computer.

Just like always, don't hesitate to ask any questions regarding your PC, I would love to help you out!
