FBI Rancher template
« on: 19 06, 2021, 07:08:46 pm »
Introduction

  • This template is made by @HosttyBoy
  • This is based on vehiclegrunge256
  • When you are making a donation request on this template, remember to tell the administrator that the design is based on vehiclegrunge256
  • This guide is made for designers in order to help them design a shader on FBI Rancher.
  • The size of the template is set to the limit which is 1024x1024 to maximize the quality of the shader.
  • The shader is based on vehiclegrunge256 as the vehicle doesn't have anything else to be designed on dislike the vehicles that have body_exterior.
  • The shader is divided to 10 colors, each color has its own characteristics. Some colors are hard to be designed while some seem to be easier.
  • You don't have to have a design on FBI rancher, but if you want, this is the way to do it so.

Template

  • Click here to view the template.
  • How it looks like on the FBI rancher? (Click to see the IG view)

    Explanation of each color

    White
  • This color is not part of the template, You don't have to put anything into it, and will not have an impact on the design.
  • Whatever you put here will not be displayed
Navy (Dark Blue)
  • It's the running board of the vehicle. IG view (Blue part)
  • Doors are not part of this part.
  • Don't put any text in this part, it will be completely buggy.
  • Putting vertical patterns will not have a good result. Example: Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game
  • Putting horizontal patterns will have a good result. Example: Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game

    Red
  • Click here to see the red part
  • A slight of red part is at the back of the vehicle. Here
  • Don't put any texts in this part.
  • It's the same as the Yellow part but it has some differences. Difference is in how these two parts display vertical patterns
  • Vertical patterns will display in this part with some sort of inaccuracy. Example: Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game
  • Putting horizontal patterns will have a good result, similar to the Yellow part. Example:Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game

    Yellow
  • Click here to see the yellow part.
  • Don't put any text in this part.
  • Yellow part is the best part to put patterns on it comparing to Navy and Red. Both vertical and horizontal patterns look the best and without any bugs.
  • At some patterns, a vertical pattern which is between the doors might look buggy, check the example below
  • Vertical pattern : Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game
  • Horizontal pattern : Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game

    Orange
  • Click here to see the orange part.
  • Put texts and logos into this part.
  • This part is only repeated in one side of the FBI Rancher, that's why it won't mirror or texts won't bug out because the orange part is within the yellow part and the yellow part is the best for both vertical and horizontal patterns. This makes it best for logos and texts. The fact that this part is only repeated once, makes it the best for texts and logos. Example of a text in orange part

    Pink
  • Click here to see the pink part.
  • This part is the smallest part of the shader and is buggy, Best option is not to put anything but if you want, you can do some pixel art and add a chess pattern on it. Example: Pattern How the pattern will look like in-game
  • Adding text is not possible due to its being buggy and too small at the maximum limit which is 1024x1024
  • This part is 4 pixels tall and 178 long. And yet, it's buggy. You have to be super creative in order to add something that is good.
Lime Green
  • Click here to see the lime green part.
  • This part is good in order putting text, texts will appear a bit taller in-game. Example of a text
  • Logos will look taller or longer and thus they're buggy and not the best option to be put in this part. Example: Example of logo
  • This part is limited in size thus texts and some patterns will look pixelated.
Green
  • Click here to see the green part.
  • This part might look bigger in-game compared to the Lime Green but is much smaller so the texts and logos will look much taller and is enough to be considered buggy, although some patterns might look fine on it, such as a simple line or some simple patterns but texts and logos are considered the worst options of this part. Example: Buggy text. The top part of the Green is not suitable for texts or logos.
  • You can put text on the green part which is next to the hood, although it won't look taller/smaller than you expect due to its small size, it'll look pixelated. Pixelated text So better get created here and add some simple patterns, that'd work perfectly. Example: Simple pattern

    Cyan
  • Click here to see the cyan part.
  • Cyan part is the hood, It has 4 parts based on 4 curves it has on the hood, it's important to know these curves because it will effect the text you put in.
  • 4 Parts of the hood based on the curves. Curves(Parts) of the hood Don't add texts between these curves, it will have an effect on the text.A text which is between the curves, you can see the effect on the text
  • Logos will seem taller and thus buggy. You are free to put it, this is not the worst option to put a logo on so it's your choice here. Example of a logo

    Purple
  • This part has the largest resolution compared to the other parts thus this is a good part to put high-resolution patterns.
  • The size of this part is 682x241 and is a mirror It means anything you put will be duplicated. Texts and logos are not the best options due to the mirror situation of this part. Picture of a duplicated text
  • You can still get creative and be able to put amazing patterns here so this part is good. Example of a good pattern

It's only for vehicles. The texture base is vehiclegrunge256 which is actually the dirt of the vehicle. It's for GTA:SA default vehicles. Works for tractors and any other vehicle that doesn't have a template but just a dirt. Since vehiclegrunge256 is the dirt and its texture is a square. You can go to photoshop and make a 1024*1024 pixel template and kinda figure out the puzzle just by testing. It can take a day if you work full time on it. You can test the template by using Nanobob shadering tool or any other tool that replaces textures in-game. You gotta do lots of testings on the template because basically the template is created by creating and solving problems.

Great one mate. :tick:
I apologize if I ever was a toxic person in your life, I'm maturing more everyday, correcting my wrongs and slowly but surely becoming a better version for me
