Addition to rule #8

8. Play nice. Don't flame, don't troll, don't grief, don't impersonate, only use a group tag if the group permits you to, don't use a stupid or unacceptable name.
Recently I saw many groups like:

• West/East/South Side Mafia
• nR8Gaming, nRxGaming
• RoBoS
• 1338

etc..
So i'm suggesting that this should be considered as impersonating.
The players that create those groups think that they can be popular like some groups. I personally think that its annoying.

this is very true, because it is called being a fanboy, now not many official gangs will want this to happen, it is like a player putting [CIT] in their name, 1st its copyright 2nd it shows no respect so +1

Sorry I don't think that is impersonation , also have some one create a group called black dragon and etc , I think that impersonation is only occur when some one use the same tag of your group -1

This should be added because just some group got subboard and some random dude make a gang with a similar name from a gang that has success,and think they will get popular.+1

I also have seen alot impersonators, This is directly impersonation of a group. They can't report because no rule against it.

the groups who impersonate an offical/known group most likely noobs, let their group die slowly as they should be.

Actually, these guys putting such tags in their name to troll so I would prefer to see them getting punished for trolling instead of impersonating.

They just have to be punished, no matter what reason

Well some of the attempts seems like they know what they are doing at lest like West/East/South Side Mafia, but names like nR8Gaming, nRxGaming or even iSA who tried to impersonate our group name ISA may actually be mixed together which could lead to misunderstandings obviously and in those cases it´s obviously impersonation. I believe there is a system to prevent exact matches but it´s not case insensitive which could lead to names where you only uppercase or lowercase a single letter in the name.

Those impersonators can probably be stopped by a small modification to the script, in the other cases there need to be some kind of regex match to compare different chairs in the two different names, something that can discover the x in nRxGaming and so on. Same thing when someone try to impersonate CIT, there are many combinations that looks the same but can´t be detected by the current script.

The most simple solution could probably be to make it case insensitive, that would at least prevent names that appears in the search results or may be mixed with other groups that has exactly the same name (except for upper or lowercase in some of the chars).

I liked this idea, because many players get bored and want to troll some groups so they create  a group like: NoBoS,CRACKMORRA,nR8Gaming.... so +1 from me

this was suggested a while ago, now all those groups are dead so I don't really care about it.
