Purpose of this board and guidelines
« on: 25 03, 2024, 02:43:20 pm »
The purpose of this sub-board is to spread positivity within the CIT community. Many people in the community have expressed feelings of depression, and there has definitely been elements of toxicity within the community. Hopefully this sub-board will be a place where positivity can be spread and we can enrich each other's lives. When I suggested this board should be added, I had in mind people making posts on topics like the following:

  • Personal achievements
  :tick:
  • Professional achievements
  :tick:
  • in game achievements
  :tick:
  • self-improvement journeys
  :tick:
  • Encouraging each other to be the best versions of ourselves
  :tick:
  • A thread for sharing Stoic / positivity quotes
   :tick:

Of course, all server and forum rules apply here. Given that this is a general-chat sub-board, the general-chat board rules apply as well. As I was the person who suggested the addition of the board, I have been given a moderator position, which endeavour to fulfil to the best of my abilities to ensure this sub-board functions as intended. I hope that no moderation actions have to be taken against any users of this sub-board by myself or staff and that it will be treated with the respect that it deserves. Ultimately we will get as much out of this board as what we put in as a community.

That being said, there are some things that should not be welcome here that I should list for transparency:

1. Posts that are Obviously intended to spread toxicity or drama   :cros:
2. Rude and or sarcastic responses. If someone has been brave enough to share their struggles on the road to improvement, do not take advantage of that.    :cros:
3. Posts that are very obviously unrelated to the general themes of positivity, overcoming adversity and self-improvement such that they would fall under the useless posts rule.    :cros:
