Doesn't work, instead of opening MTA it launches the rockstar launcher and/or GTA:SA. I checked MTA forum and it's confirmed that the launcher is not supported yet, but probably will be.

Oh, that's unfortunate. People should still atleast "buy" GTASA from the launcher, so they can download it when MTA devs make it work.

I did have an MTA update, and just to be sure I tried it again just now, doesn't work.

I did not think if MTA would work with it or not. I just installed the launcher and got the game in my library. Free stuff never hurts. I did not touch my current GTA and I recommend u to not do it as well.

I just tested and confirmed Rockstar's version of GTA San Andreas, **which is free right now**, works with MTA as long as you use a 1.0 EXE. A patcher for the EXE does not exist yet, but we are working on hopefully supporting it out of the box.
