Rock paper scissors is a hand game usually played between two people, in which each player simultaneously forms one of three shapes with an outstretched hand. These shapes are "rock", "paper", and "scissors". (Source: Google)

CIT players usually like to bet on everything, roll dice, duel, blackjack (being scripted), so why not adding another game?

The script will work as follows (could be changed/improved by a developer):
- There should be a GUI so players can bet on other players within 10-20 meters (short distance).
- Players must use /rps to select the player name and how much they want to bet, then the opponent must use the same command to accept.
- Once both players choose (rock, paper, or scissors), an emoji will appear on each other's heads (so local players can also be entertained and know the result).
- Best of three/five/seven wins (you should be able to set this when betting).

10 Year Anniversary

On the 26th of December 2010, CIT opened to the public. Soon it will be 10 years since that day. I was going to try and do a big update for the 10 year anniversary update, but the little motivation I had was ruined by that IP migration problem. So instead of doing nothing at all, I'm sure there are some little things that can be done for the anniversary like:

Things that various members of the community can do on the day:
- For flood event use: "teamvote all Start flooding event?" to attempt to start the flooding event which will only start if 51%+ vote yes. (Any L3+ Staff or CEM has access to do teamvote all)
- For flying cars event use: "teamvote all Start flying cars event?"
- Some kind of party but needs more detail, plenty of people could do this, but I don't think anyone has taken the initiative.
- Ask everyone to join race so can have huge races, LMS event, etc.

Things I need to do for the day:
- Double pay event.
- Reset the player peak to 0.
- Place a hit on every cop, criminal and gangster?

As I wasn't sure if it was the 24th or the 26th that we opened to the public, I opened an old backup of the forum database and restored the news board topics. Useful for anyone who wants to see some history / nostalgia / creating a timeline of major events.

Criteria this suggestion meets: Increase entertainment

Many people including myself have expressed the opinion that 90 minutes is too long to wait between CEs. The current wait time of 90 minutes is the result of Arran's opinion that the more often CEs take place, the less enjoyable they are. While there is some truth to this statement, considering that CEs are a lot more fun now than when they were constantly running, I believe we need to find a balance between building anticipation and wait time. Considering that currently for every 1 CE we have 12 ARs (based on the fact ARs run for 7 minutes, 90/7), a person who plays for 1,5 hours a day (a realistic estimation of someone who is busy with work or school) could end up playing 12 ARs in a row and no CEs.

Why 45 minutes?

I believe that reducing the wait time to 45 minutes will help achieve the balance I'm talking about. We will have 6 ARs for 1 CE, which will switch up the gameplay often enough for the average player to be able to play both CE and ARs. Also, since older players were used to CEs being on constantly, I believe 45 minutes will still be a decent amount of time to build up anticipation.

Adjustments to rewards:

As seen here, according to Arran, in order for this suggestion to be implemented, the rewards will need to be adjusted. The convenient thing about reducing wait time to 45 minutes, means that rewards can be balanced by halving them. Afaik, the current rewards are 7.2k and 8 of each drug per kill, which can be made to 3.6k and 4 of each drug. For assists it can be made to 1.8k and 2 of each drug (half of current).

For the past week I have been preparing a new server to replace the current server, mainly for the reason that the operating system is outdated. Although the hardware is better, this likely won't make any difference to performance as the current servers performance is already higher than the demand. However the new operating system (Windows Server 2019) recently had an update where they redesigned UDP, which is a data transfer protocol used by games which I've been told makes a noticeable improvement, like a latency reduction.

I don't know when exactly I'll finalize the migration, which although is a complex task, may only result in 15 minutes of downtime as was achieved in the past, but things can go wrong and it could take much longer, so if you see the server / forum is offline don't worry. I will announce it in-game and here just before I begin the finalization process.
