What is something that dosen't deserve it's bad reputation?

I have been looking into people from the past who had bad reputation but turned out to be good people as a result they accepted them in society later on.
and that got me thinking are there people or things that does not deserve it's bad reputation?

Reputation = Word-of-mouth, so basically, people trust any bull shit on other people. The problem is that those ppl talking bullshit on others or even accusing them with negative stuff, those people are not people, they are nothing to be honest, you have to hear the story from both sides and never judge a person, for somthing you did not see. Everyone have reasons for things that maybe look wrong, you have to hear the story from the author and the talkative.

Do you mean people who got a bad reputation based upon wrong accusations? Or do you mean ideas that are frowned upon in today's society? Because regarding the first point, yes there are people who have been wrongly accused of rape and have therefore received a bad reputation which in certain cases resulted in job losses, etc. It happens a lot in western countries because women (and men who think they're women) are put on a pedestal there. #MeToo

Some people does recognized as a bad person for what they have done to their society. Example are crime, illegal drugs, and etc. But there are instances that some people gets wrongfully accused or misunderstood for their doings and for that they are getting bad reputation from the community. Example, you are a driver and you drove over a pet/animal in the middle of the street, you helped the animal right away but some people told lies to the society. That's where the bad reputation starts. For that, some people doesn't really deserve their status as a bad person since they got misunderstood or wrongfully punished.

Nuclear energy. It is more efficient and eco friendly than wind & solar.

about people: "Good and bad" is always about the times and how society's perspective is constructed. Mass media and power relations plays a big role in the construction of values that we decide good / bad here. For example if axis were to win the WW2 we would probably be glorifying Hitler and Nazism today.
